Sold some to fund this guy. Grand Seiko sbgt035. Freaking stunning. Whats everyone else rocking this friday?
So one of the great things I love about island life, is the small feel and Avalon goes all out. Almost everyone just owns a golf cart instead of a real car. Also, I think 90% of all scion IQ’s sold in the states are on Catalina island. Sorry for the duplicate pics
So after some digging, I found out that its a good idea to service the sludge trap in the crank on these old BSA’s. Which necessitates a full engine tear down. Called up one of the local shops and they wanted $5,000!! That seems a little excessive...
Another automotive microbrand. The Autodromo Group B, named after... well if I had to tell you, you must be new here. Miyota 9015 movement, titanium case, sapphire crystal, very thin and very light. Also, the lume is freaking fanatastic.
Working on the BSA this weekend. Got quite a lot accomplished. Also, if you have any expertise in classic vehicle registration in California, I have a question for you.
I.E., my to do list
And it’s was free, no really, free! 1968 BSA thunderbolt. Needs a lot, but happy would be putting it mildly
Took the bike out for a spin for the first time in a couple months since it was actually nice out and not raining. It’s a tight squeeze to fit the car and bike in our tiny apartment garage
We haven’t done one in a while. got my new to me, 1970 Grand Seiko in. Super stoked would be an understatement! What’s everyone else got on?
Had a 1940's themed hangar dance this weekend at the planes of fame museum in chino. Some cool planes on display! Ignore the duplicates, kinja being kinja....
Another Straton! This one is quartz thought. Cheaper is nice, but the quartz version of this model (the speciale) is considerably thinner, hence the decision to go battery powered with this guy. Loving the 70s vibes
We are struggling out here. It might rain today...
I presume DANK WHOOOOOLIES to follow
We may need a new subblog for all these watch posts. For now, got my latest score in the mail, fresh from 1961 or ‘62, not sure yet. Seiko Skyliner. Ordered a proper fitting strap since the one it came on is a touch too small
Oppo, looking for a small air compressor, preferable oil free only because I plan on using it infrequently. Just need it for filling up tires, getting stuck bolts, dusting things etc. Any size and brand recommendations? Pic not mine obviously!
I know, I know, I have a problem. But snoopy is here to fix all of them
Saw it for the first time last week. How can you say no to snoopy???
Seriously? A Nissan versa as one of the top 20 best hatches? Also, who decided on trying to make that list. I am surprised there is 20 to make the list!
weeks Italian days ago, I dropped the bike off to have the fork seals errr, engine replaced. I am sure they won’t bother giving me a discount for the extra time....
Looky what I found at work! IBM model M, second generation, from 1988. And yes, it still works. Trying to convince my old boss to pass it on
