It runs a fairly simple d100 system though, very easy to jump into, and good for newcomers. However, if you don’t buy into the suspense/tension element of this game, its not that great.

The original game did this too. All the underground caves/caverns/basements, from each of the game’s 4 main zones would live on a single map (per zone).

I think it often has less to do with contracted exclusivity, and more with waiting until the less pirated version’s (aka console’s) sales stagnate.
