Enthusiasts that live in countries where Diesels are common (in Europe, for instance) know it's the true plague of autodom. Not dual-clutch, not even downsized sporty engines, nope, it's Diesels that kill car culture.

In what way did my comment imply the guy was poor? I am just surprised because in Europe (UK, France, Spain, Belgium, you name it), all lottery/gambling earnings are tax free.
