I love my AirPods. But, on a plane I do not like using them. When on a plane, I prefer my cheap $25 Bluetooth ear buds that fit snugly in the ear canal and block all other sounds. The AirPods are great when you don’t mind some outside noise leaking through (like when running in a park for me).

I bought a used Kindle for about $30. I signed up for Overdrive which is what a lot of libraries use for online lending of e-books. I can check out books for two weeks that I can read on my Kindle. They also have audiobooks.
