Fuck that guy, and fuck the cops that “investigated” this. What a joke, just leave people alone for god sakes.

Now playing

While not a huge Acura fan I will give them this their higher end paint jobs are amazing from a quality stand point for a mass produced car.

It’s actually an easier swap than you think, so many parts are interchangeable between those engines. While working at a dealer that carried Aprilia, Ducati, Triumph and all the Japanese brands we had quite a few people who had us build some crazy engine combinations using off the shelf Triumph parts.

Couldn’t agree with you more. Reason I bought my speed triple were the look and overall riding experience, the sound was always a let down unfortunately.

When they are not blowing up, frying electronics, or having their gas tanks swell due to ethanol. First hand experience having worked at a Aprilia dealer for 5yrs.

You're not wrong, there's a reason I have two RD350's in the garage.

Oh Triumph makes a solid all around triple no doubt about it but yeah the sound is ok but not great. The scrambler 900's and their 270 degree crank really sucked me in though.

I do have a unhealthy soft spot for V4's

I didn't say "all" accidents are avoidable, I said most. Of course there's always going to be a situation that this doesn't apply but the majority of the time some simple situational awareness will work wonders.

Having owned a few triples (FZ09, 675R, Speed Triple) I still don’t get what people like about the sound of triple engines. It just doesn’t do it for me for some reason.

For this reason I am also off to the side of the car in front of me while sitting at a light with my bike in gear, clutch pulled in and foot on the brake. This has saved me a couple times being able to quickly move forward just in case. The other best thing I ever did was fit a intermittent flasher to the brake light

It’s still a spectacle nonetheless, but if you’re a motorsports nerd and really want to get up close to all the tech and cross paths with drivers the days leading up to the race are the best time to be there.

Unsurprising alot of the old F1 guard doesn’t fit well in todays world, Eccelstone, Piquet, Villeneuve just to name a few say some crazy shit.

Honestly, you’re not missing much for the 500. Having been to the actual race and fast fridays or carb days as they used to call them going on those days is way more fun. You get access to almost anything you want just by asking. Race day you’re stuck with your seat unless you splurge for some VIP level shit.

Le Man, mainly because I’m dutch and want to get my monies worth

And this isn’t a Singer or a Porsche...

Remember the recent article that covered the announcement of this where people were guessing $100K? We are so naïve, I even guessed $300K.

The front looks like a fish and the rear just seams off to me. Thought it was the side profile but the top 3/4 view doesn't do it for me either. I actually like the look of the base car and the BC but this one doesn't do it for me.

Agreed, I appreciate them from a mechanical stand point but the sound just doesn’t do it for me. Different strokes for different folks I guess.

I think I'm in the minority here who thinks V12's don't sound that great. I can't put my finger on it there's just something about the noise that most makes that is just ehh. This is coming from someone who is in love with the V10 era of Formula 1 and the BRM V16.
