What does that have to do with this? the 22B is a completely different car than a modern day WRX or STI. My question of “who even asked for this?” was directed at a ground up rebuild of arguably one of the most sought after rally cars of the modern era that will likely cost hundreds of thousands of dollars.

That side silhouette especially towards the rear gives off some heavy RS5/TT vibes.

Because it is...

That happens here too. For the street tunes are generally fine, but any car you plan to be lapping repeatedly should definitely have the cooling system reevaluated. Anyone expecting a road car to last as long as a race car on track without some sort of cooling mods is naïve at best. I would be extremely surprised if

That would be the sensible thing to do for people who work on budgets. The reason I see people paying a ridiculous amount of money for this though is simply because Prodrive are the ones building it. Adds a little more credibility and provenance compared vs your local fab shop putting one together.

I think that’s optimistic, judging by the recent Spoon and Mines reincarnations of older JDM cars which are going for $300k+, I suspect this will be in the same realm.

As much as I love the S2000, not being able to tilt the steering wheel drove me absolutely insane and made it almost impossible to drive comfortably for someone who’s is 6'4. It was a sad day when I discovered that.

Best advice I’ve ever been given by an attorney after being wrongfully stopped and frisked is “besides saying no to any request and not consenting to any searches is to simply SHUT THE FUCK UP”. Seriously every single word out of your mouth can and will be used against you. Even if you’ve done nothing wrong and are

As someone who takes part in several HPDE events each year if you're into Hondas I suggest looking at CR-X's. We see so many of those on track. They're lightweight, easily modified, and have huge aftermarket support.

As someone who has built several 400hp and 400hp+ track prepped Golf R’s I disagree. Downpipes and intakes are cheap, and as far as a tune pulling timing due to heat soak, then you’re looking at the wrong tunes. Companies like APR and IE push everything to the max at the result of cooling. I’ve had several customers

Will not be surprised to see them making 500hp easily. The engines are fairly stout at this point in their life and companies will be coming out of the woodwork to support the new car if/when it releases.

Not a VW fanboy, just a turbo fanboy. I can fanboy about my turbo K series if you prefer, but then you might label me a Honda fanboy.

I was comparing a Golf R to a 370Z as that is was OP did, I wasn’t comparing a Golf R to the 2023 Z as that’s a different story.

I mean if we're talking in terms of engine swaps you can swap the RS3 2.5 into a Golf R and make 1000hp easy, there's shops that will do the swap for you, for a price of course.

Golf R is lighter and its hp is also under rated in typical german fashion. Every VW I’ve owned since mk4 generation have been under rated anywhere from 10-20hp. Golf R vs 370Z is pretty neck and neck in a straight line. The big difference between the two is tuneability, oh you want another 100hp from your Golf R?

Honey! Have you seen my Porsche?

Turbos, intercoolers, and piping are not light....

No, because the safety car, including driver and doctor, sits idling for the entirety of the race in the case of a crash the safety car and go immediately. This is why they don’t use a GT3 or F1 car or something similar, they’d overheat sitting there for that amount of time.

I’m just surprised he didn’t make it higher. Marquez thrives at that track most seasons, he has obviously had struggles this season though.

Funny you should mention that, I work for a material handling robotics company so I’m very close to supply chains. And yes, it’s amazing the margins on alot of goods.
