I haven't tried the new version but both the PX-100 and PX-200 that I've owned have fallen apart. The pads on the 200s completely fell apart and I had issues with the cable on the 100s that caused one side to cut out all the time.

When we built one of these in high school we used a section of threaded pipe between the combustion chamber and the barrel so that we could swap different size barrels on.
