The did call out that some threads were still open. The note on the door was legitimately from someone else, not Jan. The toxicology report was suppressed and the officer (sorry I am suddenly slipping on her name) did not trust some at the precinct and warned them to stay silent. And they make a point a couple of

Maybe, but they cast a number of variously big name talent people into minor roles. The probably just did it knowing she would be great at it.

Ehh... if it WAS hugely successful, they will take the money anywhere they get it. It might have kept some from green lighting it, but it is out now and not really creating any buzz.

EXACTLY. You have to WANT to watch the main characters in the story going along the journey. The comic versions of these characters was more interesting. These guys, not so much.

None of those types seem to be watching or caring about this really. I have watched it, but I don’t hear anyone really talking about its “big swings”.

I think it is fair to say that DC is not likely doing this to be inclusive per se. They do this sort of thing a lot. A lot of stuff gets said, sales spike, sales calm down, and then in a year or two this particular run gets canceled, and in this case, if Jon Kent is in a new series, his bi-sexuality is sort of

True, but that was one of Herbert’s deliberate themes, that grand schemes are impossible to control and wind up controlling you. That, and the idea that everything is doomed to fail spectacularly if you give it enough time.

I was never a Flay fan. But I WAS a huge fan of the original Iron Chef and remember the episode. To be fair to Flay, he got a bad rap on that. He was told by the producers that he was supposed to be more bombastic as an American, and that he was too calm and should do something uncouth and shocking. So he hammed it

I mean this was from 1984, so...

Dude, I’ve been in Japan for almost a decade at this point and am sick of this “they’re the only country to get A bombed” shit excuse.

Yes. One of Herbert’s themes was that things rarely go as well as our heroes intend, and Paul learns to regret his impact on the world very much. His son sort of fixes things for a bit by becoming an even more feared ruler, but nothing lasts forever.

I mean, I am not above conspiracy theories. But to be honest, if they don’t want the comments they could just turn them off at a whim. They did it at Deadspin. So if comments are still here, it is because they have some value, I assume as traffic.

Well it all depends on the moment. I guess you had to be there. If he overreacted and immediately jumped down her throat (something he HAS been known to do in the past), then yes, they were both being abusive.

I don’t understand why this would be. Humans got along without iodized salt for a couple hundred thousand years.

So I appreciate you doing this, but from what I can tell, they DO have a list button on the upper right of the slide show that actually DOES show you this list and let you just jump to the ones you care about, so I did want to give them a shout out for that.

Ugh, the most idiotic thing to fire him.

As a title, how seriously different “No time to die” than “You only live twice” or “Die another day”, or worse than “Octopussy” for that matter?

the contact on Aug 30th was a text message which only confirms the phone was used, not who used it

I feel like that’s a bit different from erasing the accomplishments of a living person just to hype up an imaginary character.

Levar Burton was the top pick of Levar Burton fans. They were loud enough and got enough attention that it made it look like he was the top pick of Jeopardy! fans as well, but that was never the case.
