We tend to be an afterthought. Oddly, I’ve had family in England insist Canadians are Americans because North America is like one big country or something. They simply refused to recognise that Canada is a sovereign country. Maybe they were sore they lost us as a colony? Anyway, it was weird.

I’ve always imagined that New Zealand : Australia as Canada : The US. As a Canadian, it never stops being hilarious to be referred to as “America’s Hat”, so I can only imagine what Aussies call New Zealand. I’m going to guess “Australia’s Purse”.

That is hilarious and awesome. I not only have (real, intrusive thoughts and everything) OCD but also grapheme-colour synaesthesia, so I’m totally feeling you on this! Although, personally, I love 5 and 3.
