Sorry. Yeah, I was thinking of the Xterra.

Hah! You beat me to this. When we go to Asia, you regularly see these signs in so many different countries. It makes it clear that WAY more people realize that those are horrible death pods, than don’t.
You’re either putting words in my mouth, or taking my snide comments out of context. Of course, I’m not saying that ALL Toyota drivers are boring, or don’t have greater car asperations. However, and as a clear aspect of their marketing since the dawn of time, Toyota is all about practical, reliable beige. So, the…
A bigger, much more catastrophic world war. That’s what. Stop being naive.
You’re simply uneducated about the complexities of the world. We’re not “saving” anything by letting things escalate as they are in the middle east. Far from it. It will ultimately cost us much, much more.
Naive answer.
I’m hardly a typical “Jalop” - and my friend, Toyotas are fucking boring. When boring people want to step things up a little, they trade in their Toyota, and buy a slightly less boring Accord. That’s how boring Toyota is - Honda seems much more exciting.
Eagerly awaiting what kind of bullshit Lilly Tomlin is going to blame on this particular loss. Maybe, headsets? The color yellow?
Wait, didn’t the finally kill the Frontier? I thought they did. Now, they only have those insipid glorified FWD sport utility vans.
Wow. A full engine swap. I’m impressed. How’s the transmission holding up? Right before I sold mine, at around 100K, the 4-5 syncro started to go. Which struck me as bizarre.
I loved my gen 5 ‘Lude. Yet another example that Honda literally went to shit, when they decided to stop making so many great cars from the ‘90s and early aughts.
1. No texting while driving.
Well, again, kind of defacto-small-truck choices. Almost everone else bailed on body on frame stuff years ago, so Toyota had that market to themselves.
Well, I think that was kind of the given - reliable - because people wouldn’t default to Toyota otherwise. And, unlike a lot of other marginal GM products, the Corvette has been pretty damn reliable (albiet, with questionable interiors) for many years.
Indeed. I learned to drive stick on an first-gen Datsun Maxima. The thing was a sleeper, four-door 280Z back then. Now? Good Lord, I have no idea. I can’t figure out what the target market now might be for that model, with that CVT, and general lack of direction. It was only a short time ago, that it was considered…
Funny. I know a couple other friends whose entire families have always been, and still are Toyota people. I think more than anything else, Toyota is just the defacto-standard for ubiquitues-not-really-give-a-shit transpo’.
I’m not a brand loyalist, per se, but I also agree on the Nissan thing. We have an old Titan which keeps on ticking, had a G37, which was a great bang for the buck. And I grew up with various Datsun and Datsun/Nissan models.
For some sad souls, even the best attempt at flattery still winds up being insulting.
Honestly, much more of a GLA AMG competitor. I’m not really sure the Macan has a direct competitor, other than some of the other Porsche cars. Perhaps, the X5 M - but that’s still a larger, heavier third-row model.
I saw that same plane at LGB. Really neat to see one in the BOEING livery. I still prefer watching the C-17’s scream in and out of the airport, however.
