I thought to be a successful car company it was build, sell, then recall what you built.

Logos (which fonts make up a pretty big part of) are lots of fun. I've learned, especially with something so visual, it's usually easier to just quickly throw together a mockup than write a thousand words trying to explain what I mean. And that's even when talking to people who may know what I'm pretending to talk

Pedantic Note: The largest size truck you can rent is a 26' truck. Any larger and you'll end up exceeding the 26k threshold.

Maybe at first glance. Here's a quick mockup of Facebook and Southwest on a blue background in the "Southwest Sans" font (forgive the lack of kerning...). Does it still look like Facebook to you? Or is it the knockout lettering on a blue background that does it?

I'm well aware it's easy, but I didn't have the time to do it. (Clients who demand you render everything into an image so nobody can steal their precious fonts are the worst...)

Something cool I learned: Subaru's maintenance program does have a time limit, but the oil changes don't expire at the end of the program's window. Because I don't drive much, I still have another free oil change at the dealer.

Warranty void without documentation.

Yup. The tail of the "t" is one of the tweaks to make it a bit softer and friendlier. "B", "D", and "P" all see changes to their top corners to make them more similar to the not-tail in the "u".

Figured out the font— I think.

Actually, where I live, I don't have an option. My options are DSL (which does not meet the FCC's definition of broadband) or cable. I'm not unlike a very large percentage of Americans in this regard; cable companies are frequently issued legal monopolies to provide service to municipalities. I'm actually lucky in

Don't like the font. Helvetica may be overdone, but at least it has and will continue to age better than this— in a few years, this lettering will look dated. It looks a bit like Calibri... did they forget to change the font in Word before hitting "Print to Plane"?

I've noticed most people aren't used to the engine being so ready-to-rev when it doesn't have to spin an automatic transmission, too.

I did look at a map before commenting. I don't see a violation of Egyptian or Turkish airspace. It might cut it close to Egypt, depending on how far out they track/monitor aircraft, but it's not a direct overflight and a plane could conceivably make it without being spotted.

That's enough range to strike Jerusalem. Most of the flight would take place over the Mediterranean Sea, where there would be relatively few radar installations looking and interrogating aircraft. Once closer to Israel, there might be, and I imagine that Israel does have fighters on ready alert, but it's still not

I helped a friend move awhile back, and being the expert in large vehicles (I learned to drive in a Yukon XL, and I'd previously rented and drove a 24' box truck for a week... in Pittsburgh) I was asked if I'd like to come along because it'd be "fun".

We actually built listings of places and addresses from our Roadtrippers itinerary so we knew the milage and ETA. At each stop, we would punch the next destination in (or just keep driving on the interstate until we needed GPS...). For some of our destinations, there were just coordinates, which meant some guesswork

Just finished two 3,000 mile road trips this summer. Pretty good list overall!

I think the guy on the left is. His right hand is on the wheel, left hand on the shifter. You can't see either in the frame, though his arm movements are consistent with someone driving and shifting. Watch at around ~3:55, when they're slowing down on the dirt, I think he's downshifting, and then at around ~4:09 he

They might use 'Dixie' for D at ATL to avoid confusion with all the Delta planes that fly there.

I saw a guy walk into traffic a couple years back. I was on my bike and missed the light, so I was just a block behind when it happened, but had a pretty good idea what went down.
