I think that red throne room scene was pretty damned iconic. Slicing the ship was iconic. Hand touch scene. Seamonster tiddies. Great stuff.

Absolutely. In fact on more than one occasion I’ve enjoyed fanfiction for fandoms I had no interest in.

Thread of fanfic recs? I present one of my all-time favorites: “A Special Case,” inspired by the thoroughly unremarkable 2010 movie The Tooth Fairy starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Stephen Merchant. My love for this short fanfic is not ironic. Fanfic haters should read this.

This thread is a great example of Kinja’s short comings, wow.

They do reconnect, but I don’t think it is a conscious thing. Snoke might have been manipulating the force to his benefit, but it was still the force doing it. It seems like the inception for this connection might have happened in the first movie from the mind probes.

Ahh, I think you’re right. If she’s just been in denial this whole time then it makes sense that Kylo would be able to see and tell her the truth that she’s been fighting face.

It easily surpassed the Darth Maul fight in my opinion. I had never cared about who Darth Maul was when I saw episode one. He was just some guy with scary devil makeup and awesome moves and their fight scene was way too dancerly and coordinated to look impressive.

It was my understanding that Ren and Rey didn’t have any control over when they see each other. If anything I guess that was Snoke going “you kids are into this sort of thing these days, right?”

Eh, I was totally hoping we’d get a chance to see that Leia has force powers, and I was just happy and relieved they put it in before Carrie Fisher died.

Maybe he should have killed Ben, but maybe not. I still think redemption could be possible for Ben, though he’ll have to do it by himself. Luke knew Kylo Ren was still getting eaten up for killing Han, and he knew he would be eaten up for killing him too. I think it’s clear that nobody is going to be reaching out to

It’s so painful that she can’t be there. And I worry that her absence will be a gaping failure of the final movie. I want that emotional conclusion to her role and though the producers insist her excellent turn in this movie was enough, I don’t feel it is enough. Kylo Ren’s inability to attack his mother has not been

Thankfully the Secret Lives of Pets is terrible. I’ll always feel a little sadder watching Pootie Tang though.

It’s been so long.

Maybe it was to parallel the fact that as her perspective of him was doing a 180 to accommodate her changed feelings, so were his—she dismissed him as a creep to make her decision to cut it off easier, he dismissed her as a whore to make the rejection less painful.

Your overuse of pronouns makes your comment very hard to follow but what I am gleaning from this comment is that you want very much to sound impressive.

I am excited to see what this movie does for the shipping wars. There are awful people on every side so I am guaranteed schadenfreude no matter what.

This site does discuss pop culture at least some of the time.

Yeah I thought so too. From his increasingly bad spelling I guessed that he was getting drunk and embarrassing himself. I imagined it possible that the next day he would be ashamed at what he had texted and then argue with himself whether it was appropriate to text again to apologize. At least, that’s what the me I

I didn’t think much of it at the time but I wonder if this is set in an area where twizzlers are the more common red liquorice of choice.
