For absolutely no reason, someone quotes the beginning of Company (“Bobby baby...”) -- I think it’s Nate if my memory is right.  Maybe it was a tribute if Sondheim died just before this was filmed?

It’s possible that for engine reasons (hand-waving madly here) the later two games are easier to port.

And Cal is visually modeled after his voice/motion actor, so it’s totally possible.

It’s the opposite of a back-door pilot, a setup that has no name because I don’t know if it’s been done before.

Speaking directly of vaccinations and (one of) Crosby Stills and Nash:

Do or do not; there is no try.

It sounds like we’re not talking about an early trailer, where I agree with the comparison with early game peeks; this is a trailer that ran on Amazon to sell the rental well after the film was already released in theaters. So yes, it shouldn’t be blatantly false.

The entire point of a class action suit is to punish behavior that, per consumer, isn’t a big deal, but it wrong in the aggregate.

Stargirl was (at that point) a DC Universe show, but by the time it came out the writing was on the wall for DCU and Max hadn’t started yet, so it ended up on the CW the day after the DCU premiere.  (I’m inferring cause and effect, but it seems pretty clear.)

I don’t know what I’m talking about, but I’d expect any survivors of a CW sale to end up on HBO Max.

Anyone checking in 3 months later: still glitchy on PS5, I’m afraid.  Had to redo one entire battle because the game didn’t realize all the enemies were dead; fortunately restore-from-checkpoint fixed it.

I got mine from Walmart by monitoring a free twitter feed (@CheapAssGamer). No animals were harmed, nor scalpers paid.

I know two of them!  (Britt Lower from Man Seeking Woman, and Dichen Lachman from Dollhouse, SHIELD, and other stuff.)

I feel like this subthread is people trying to poke holes in the premise without realizing that these holes are the premise.

[Two weeks later, finally saw this ep]

I’m naming my kid The Third The Fourth, is your mind blown?

It beats the guy I used to work with, some years ago before tabs worked as well as they do now or something; I’d look at his taskbar and he’d have 40 instances of Firefox running.

I have no idea how Sony works, but I wonder if it’s also one of those things were they employ X thousand people to make new consoles, and if they can’t make PS5s, their choices are “make something else” or “lay some people off and then worry about staffing up again in nine months or so”.

People are being born every day who don’t already have a PS4 — or, more seriously, people are aging into the console-buying demographic who are looking for their first console now.
