Boy, their fictionalized version of Andrew Cuomo is in trouble now!

Literally more than one generation [points to final ER episode]

Let’s think about the fact that apparently in the UK, there are only 9 or 10 (if there’s a 000) law enforcement agents licensed to kill. Meanwhile, in the US, cops ain’t cops until they’ve at least shot a suspect’s dog.

I’m not sure that’s the original soundtrack; music rights issues have plagued reissues of this show in all media.  It was a big deal when they recently restored the correct Cocker version of the theme.

(We’re in deep spoiler territory, for those following along.)

...I just got it.  Over 50 years after I read the book.

100% correct.

I mean...I understand the impulse, I really do. But I also think it should be a little bit difficult to arbitrarily ban a person from long-distance travel — if you want to go from NY to a place in CA that’s not LA or SF, saying you can substitute a car or train for a plane rings hollow.

Well...SNL, but it’s not a game show.

I’m not a big fan of guy-so-dumb humor, but Minogue’s lines are really next-level.

The Mule is mentioned in a framing sequence in Episode 1, so that’s certainly the plan. What I don’t know is how far this first season is going to go.

I’ve all the Asimov stuff decades ago, and just Googled Demerzal to remind myself what you’re talking about...and as I always have, I once again think Asimov choosing to merge his two series was a terrible idea, even if the very, very, end of the whole thing did make my jaw drop. But that’s more from having read it

It’s close to the explicit position of the GOP at this point that all electoral votes should be awarded to Republicans by fiat in state with Republican legislatures.

Agree about giving an award to a performance from 2016, but: it is absolutely notjust a camera plopped in the back of the house”. There are multiple cameras, some up front, and it’s directed (or edited, which comes down to the same thing.) You’re describing bootleg performance videos, not what D+ did (or what was

As it turns out, yes, because none of it was released in TV year 2020-1 (the second one came out in July).  That may not totally explain it.

Closed, or hiding because they can’t stand to watch?

By the way, the main text doesn’t include the slug “The Popcorn Champs”, although I realized early on that this is what it is.

Too late.

If so, that explains why the weekly show is likely to be better, but it doesn’t make it an unfair comparison if they’re both doing “the same kind of show” — which is fuzzy, sure, but This Week.... and The Daily Show are clearly within the boundaries. You’re not trying to answer “which staff did the best with what

Have they addressed how the “documentary” is being made?  Digital, it’s exempt from those rules?
