No, to them, mothers and wives ARE the notable women. Taking care of their men. THAT’S what women do, so they are notable.

I feel the same and I have two.

If it’s like a “where was I when...” it doesn’t bug as much as “I was 1000 miles away and am SO UPSET and need you guys to comfort me” which I see more of than I would ever imagine. It feels like (to make a horrible metaphor) grief hijacking.

PLEASE STOP TALKING MATT DAMON. STOP. JUST. STOP TALKING.

I know a girl from Athens, Ga., who has never even been on a plane, and the days leading up to 9/11, she’s like “TRIGGER WARNING. I will be offline for a few days so I can deal with the memories.” BITCH YOU WERE NOT THERE.

Right, except now that we have social media, it’s tragedy porn all over the place. The older generations are passing on their history when talking about that. Stephanie from Asheville or whatever is just screaming into the void.

9/11 has become the most annoying fucking day because of this. I live in the South. Most of my friends do as well. And always have. And yet every year for 14 years, they roll out the “Where I was when...” WHY?? Unless you were in the North or South Tower or vicinity (even the CITY!), the Pentagon, or the field where

I was just thinking “well, he probably never even considered making a bomb. But now...” Fuck this school.

Why am I not with you right now??

I ... don’t want to imagine that... my god.

See, I love that. But then for every, like, 3 people I know with your experience, I know one person that is like “the Mirena is from Satan.” It scares me too much, and I know the pill works great for me. But it seriously sounds SO GREAT. I’m just too afraid. :/

Interesting on the hippy method! I’ll have to give that a shot next month. Thanks!!

Glad you ask, too. I’m not a smoker, blood pressure is great, I’m healthy and active, and have zero plans of more kids. So yea, I may be leaning back toward the pill!

LOL I luckily do NOT have the baby urges any more, but I hear what you are saying! But you are kinda convincing me to go back on it. Hmmm.

That’s a good way of looking at it, period control. You are right, I mean, if you aren’t monogamous, you need more anyway, so you might as well use it to ditch the period if you can. Also, good for you for being all about condoms!! Not enough people are!

Good information. I’ve also heard it mitigates the ovarian cancer risk. I think the less periods you have, the less your chances of contracting it. I’m not a doctor, so dont’ quote me, lol.

Good to know. My cramps and mood swings are substantially worse now that I’m off the pill, but you are right, everyone treats it differently. I remember when I first got on the pill, I was put on one of the tri-cycle ones and I had RAGING mood swings and migraines for the first time in my life. My body COULD NOT

My favorite two years of my life were pregnancy/nursing when I had no period. Well, not favorite because I hate pregnancy and I had a newborn, but still. GREAT TIMES. I’m good about taking it every day, so yea, maybe I’ll consider it again.

FUCK IT SO HARD. GOD, I AM MISERABLE.

I’ve actually been considering going back on the pill. I’m done having kids, my husband is snipped and even though my period is totally normal, I fucking hate the mood swings, DAY TWO BLEEDING, cramps, bloating, tampons, etc. When I was on the pill (low dose estrogen, can’t remember the one), I had zero mood swings,
