If the moves, EVs and IVs are legitimate, who cares? I really don't understand the purist attitude when it comes to what is ultimately a strategy RPG, especially when the effort required to breed them with the right moves is just busy work. The skill and challenge of the game comes from the strategy, not biking

Not really; a lot of people get their start on online battling sites, where you pick a Pokémon and moveset and battle other players, only picking up a game when they want to enter tourneys, and having others breed their Pokémon for them.

That happens when you're right-handed too. :(

Women aren't a physical minority, but an institutionalized one. They make up roughly half of the population in every country in the world. Yet only 17% of games have female protagonists.

So this so much taunted "next gen" with its amazing and powerful technologies and upgrades ends up being the same thing as last gen. "We can use cloud computing" but they can't have more variety in their character choices, really?

Why would it be expensive when you already have female Assassin animations from not only Aveline, but from Brotherhood and AC3 when you summon your followers / students to attack or support you? Plenty of female animations there.

Nowadays, the "too much work" argument no longer flies. It should be considered "necessary work" - simply the cost of doing business. We don't see games cutting walking and running animations as separate things due to "too much work". We don't see them making every object in the world static and non-interactive

Do I? Let's see: I have a pretty good job (I'm a game programmer and also I'm a part time professor at a university, which I do pretty much for fun since I love teaching). I'm in a long term relationship with a beautiful girl who I think I'll marry soon, I'm in shape (I go to the Gym and I practice Kendo) and I'm also

Obviously you should be getting married more!

I haven't watched a single episode of Space Dandy, largely because I took one look at it and strongly got the feeling that its brand of humor wasn't going to click with me either.

I've been watching the series since it started and I do find a lot of the humor a bit juvenile, but the series has had it's good episodes. A few weeks ago there was an episode where Dandy was hunting a rare alien that had the unique ability of putting a person's consciousness into a stuffed animal for a time once a

Not sure the cops tears really outweigh the tears of the parent in the situation.

Nah, they're kids. When you get older yourself you'll realize that.

WOW! It's like night and day. The next gen versions make the 360 and PS3 versions look like Pitfall on the Atari! What a massive difference! Yep, next gen is totally worth it. Haha!

People complain that the WiiUpad's screen is not necessary for playing a game.

I wouldn't hold your breath on that second part.

This is pretty much what I'm facing as an ethnic Chinese man from Singapore. I'm so glad that I've been able to miss Chinese New Year for the past 3 years as I got tired of the pageantry, nosy relatives and the shitty questions that come with them. As a kid I was constantly compared to other cousins in exam scores,

A lot of people use physical problems as analogies for mental problems, so I'll do the same for you. It's wonderful that even at your lowest this thought doesn't cross your mind. For a lot of people though, it's not something they can help. It's like asking why a person in a wheelchair isn't using the stairs when you
