Agreed - though I’ll say the smaller character-to-character moments in Force Awakens had something to them. The back and forth between Rey and Fin was genuinely good. Harrison Ford was able to give us a good version of old Han. The rest, hurrrmmmm.
I’m confused: Do you mean that Demme was abusive or, as I think you mean, Demme was an actual clear-eyed reporter on misogyny? Just checking.

Of course Joker’s miserable: He’s trapped in the Murderverse thinking about how much fun he had when hanging out in the ‘80s, high on cocaine and wearing a beret.
Oh! Good points! Thanks for the info.
I always imagined there was a “why” here, but what — good God — is it???
While I have high hopes, I also know that the reality here might be 337 pages Jeyne Poole dealing with frostbite and Lem Lemoncloak eating bacon.
I mean, I hope so. It’s pretty boss.
Buffy meets X-Men in Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes London it seems.
change Ladies to Gentlewomen and I’ll contribute to the production costs.
Who knew a guy who loudly proclaimed he shaved a swastika into his girlfriend’s pubic hair, appeared on privately distributed rape-fantasy videos, told the press he fantasized about bashing is ex-partner’s head in with a mallet, had at least one bandmate nailed on rape charges, was the object of a long-simmering rumor…

Dumb question: Is Zemo now a baron as it says in the image above? Like, he was not mentioned as so in Civil War. Personally, I’d be fine with him just being “Zemo”. Also, wasn’t Strucker just “Strucker” in AoU? Again, fine with this. Those kind of titles seem so pre/post WWII.
Yes. It’s perfect for a world where we got Rhodey’s Iron Patriot design.
When this costume first cropped up in that arc, I goddamn hated it. Hated the colors. Hated the all-white shield. Hated. Hated. Hated.
All these years on, though, I straight dig it. I don’t know what switch has flipped for me, but now I see it tonally and narratively appropriate, highly original in its color scheme and…
Because I was reading something else about trans issues — deadnaming in particular — today, I was thinking about Elliot Page and the upcoming season of Umbrella Academy. Not that it’s actually important relative to claiming your true identity, but has there been any talk about whether his transition will effect what…
Yes. Yes I did.

I think every male in the Bat Family gets to be the Dark Knight for a day, be it in alternative realities, alternative futures, or because the Gotham PD supplied them with an Iron Man suit with bat ears.
