Again, the f’n Borgs. Why ?
Again, the f’n Borgs. Why ?
You know what that means : John Williams’ theme (just like 90s Flash had a few notes of Elfman’s theme for his brief appearance).
Well, Avatar’s $2,787,965,087 box office is already including the $30M+ box office from its rerelease, so there’s no reason Endgame’s box office shouldn’t do the same.
But, but, but, haven’t you heard ? According to “anonymous sources” that feed a certain subset of Trek fans and youtubers, Kurtzman just got fired a few days ago due to disastrous early Picard screenings...
Unpopular opinion : Ryker/Gunner is a perfectly fine talent, and I haven’t forgotten that, when given the chance of a lengthy match, in TNA, vs the likes of Storm or Roode, he delivered.
(or even the worst X-Men title, by a country mile.)
Technically, Force Unleashed 2 had decapitations and dismemberment, once you leveled up enough (IIRC).
Also, a Venn Diagram of people who responded “YEA FUCK HHH” in response to the Cody throne sledgehammer shot and people who say “UGH VINCE STEP ASIDE AND GIVE HHH CREATIVE CONTROL OF WWE” is a perfect circle.
I mean, Allan Quatermain is still there, waiting. With a solid theme by Goldsmith.
Yeah, that’s what worries me the most. None of her work, as a writer, was particularly strong or inspired, so... i'm not expecting much here either, even though there will probably be half a dozen in-house script doctors reworking her Star Wars work, as usual.
(Bohemian Rhapsody at least understood that showing a large chunk of the band’s Live Aid show would only endear it more to fans.)
Without spoiling too much, I’ll say that, although I really like this world and all its weird specificities, there a bit of world-building in John Wick 3 that didn’t really really work for me (the desert stuff), and came slightly too close to the Assassin’s Creed franchise.
It’s interesting, since Netflix’s international deal re:Disco was supposedly so lucrative for CBS that it was paying for the first two seasons of the show... and yet, both on the Short Treks front and this Picard show, Netflix seems to be uninterested, or at the very least dragging its feet.
..... nope. Still sticking with Bryniarski’s Lobo, thank you very much.
A thousand times that. Sfx people/animators are already way underpaid/overworked as it is, this will probably mean either more hard work (but the same exact deadlines) for the guys already on the project or the risk of having quicker, cheaper studios brought in to take over the extra work load & the redesign. Poor…
The music by Alan Silvestri is also a star here, not just for the way it enhances the viewer’s kaleidoscope of emotions, but as a pinnacle to the work of so many others who’ve made music in the Marvel universe.
World of Illusion ! So gorgeous, but also so short...
Not really feeling it. I don’t know if it’s the animation, the voices, the humor, or just the use of Zimmer’s Sherlock as an opening cue, but it just doesn’t click for me.
Just like Mania, really.
Then again, it’s underperforming everywhere overseas, so hopefully the US b.o. will somewhat help on that front.
