I remember i hated her at first. But she developed so much i loved her. When she changed the heart shirt it was so subtle and sweet.
I cant remember whether it was the japanese version or the dubbed but the song about her dad leaving was so beautiful. I loved tamers.

I’ve read your articles for awhile now, and while you can err on the side of too much passion, your headline is nearly perfect. It describes the article in its entirety. Your passion is conveyed in a sentence, I understand the purpose of the article and I could even recognize that you had written it. Read more

Well he was rushed. He was charged with filling the site with posts by himself. That's a tall order. A lot of the posts were provocative in a fun way, which is appreciated on my end.

I, for one, really enjoyed the volume of opinionated posts. Gives you something to think about when the rest of the site is dead. I genuinely had a moment of “oh shit Doc has written 3 articles today and all of them are opinionated as fuck without being a boring internet take!” So I say good job, sir.

You know, I’ve said this before but I really don’t like this new Lara. With the first game, I felt like the game introduced you to naive, innocent Lara who’s basically treated like a puppy. Then things go bad and the game makes you feel like you are only playing to avoid having a puppy get kicked and yet every time Read more

Even though it’s ridiculous to apply this to WoW, I sometimes feel that I’m fighting healthbars instead of actual characters. Read more

Anyone who decides to offer you “advice” via a comment thread is probably a douche. Best of luck to you.

That’s terrible timing. Sorry to hear that.

For what it’s worth, I’m reasonably sure (embarrassed by everything I’ve done) is a default setting for any creative work.

I would love to see Duke take a gigantic page from Bulletstorm. Bulletstorm was by far the spiritual successor of the Duke Nukem franchise. Ridiculously over the top, testosterone filled action, with a hysterically entertaining “combo system” plus stupid, “masculine” dialogue. Having Duke spout off “rear entry” or Read more

Ok Doc, you won me over with this one. For me, Tamers was the best series and still holds its own today. The characters were all pretty well written and had their own unique points of view. Even Impmon had an emotional backstory to explain his issues. It also had massive Matrix influences in it which helped.

My son was taking notes while Jan was giving his presentation (he’s a budding game designer at 10). THIS kind of article (with professional-backed presentations) is what I want out of Kotaku! Thanks for posting this.

My sister has literally been naming any characters who are Japanese in video games Rika since we saw this show years ago.

Well done, and good health to you. Hope to see more writing by you here another time (despite most of them not being to my taste; I suspect we’re polar opposites in gaming tastes!).

Agreed... It’s too bad the rest of the game missed out on that same energy.
