I’m sorry but I dont believe this. He gave an interview a few years back and when he was asked what gave him the ideas he said that he had the following things - A love of the old serials, a fantasy with long form story telling, a glimmer of hope and the most important thing (his words) the Joseph Campbell book. - He

Ummmm okay...

I agree also.

I’m a fan of the films and some of the books and will defend the film but there is one thing that for me made the prequels more than just weaker films but damage the original trilogy is how they showed Anakin turning evil.

As a Brit, I think I’m obligated to say that this isn’t an original form of time travel or plot device. There was a show called Goodnight Sweetheart that had the main character walk around a certain street corner and go from what was present day 90s back to the second or first world war (I think it was second).

Is this worth watching. I’ve just taken a week off work (sick - Man flu...but really bad horrible like near death man flu - Think Superman holding Kryptonite sick) and gone through a number of shows I wanted to watch and I’m looking to add to it. So, without spoiling it any good? (The show)

I’ll say it again for what must be the fifth time. I’m talking about reviews in general, this series has had pretty charitable reviews across a series of sites. I’m not saying this review is perfect and doesn’t hit with soft shots I’m just saying that this current run has been given easy reviews by a series of sites.

I wasn’t going after this review. I was talking about the reviews on a ton of websites but only belong on this one. I read the review and actually think it was alright (though I’m sure some things were softened because they are a fan of the show) other than that I was talking in general and if you skim a few websites

I wasn’t ranting just on this particular review. It is a common theme that I used, most reviews for this last series on many sites have been very (as someone else said) charitable. They just dont seem to enjoy pointing out plot holes, bad points in the episodes etc. that’s what I meant and should have been clearer

I didn’t like it at all. If I ignore the found footage which for me is one of the worst styles they could have done this (or at least done it better), but the monster was what took me out mainly, the sleep crust monster was ridiculous and I’ve already said this but I’ll say it again -

Makes sense to me. I just hate when someone is clearly to much of a fan that to give a fair and objective view. I get that you want to push a show you want to watch week in and out but for me personally and to take a review seriously they need to be willing to point out the plot holes, the bad logic and the over the

It’s nothing to do with being right, it’s about being objective. I’ve already given my review above, here is another:

No I want reviews that are objective not written by people who seem to think that every episode is the greatest episode written. Just a few years ago you’d be troubled to find a series of reviews that deem a run of episodes as being great but since Capaldi took the keys to the Tardis it seems the episodes can do no

I’m always for Tennant in anything, the bloke can play creepy, good, bad or anything he puts his mind to. I’m not a Fry fan but I have to admit he did do a good voice.

Yh I like David as well and like some of his shows (Peep show being one of the best comedy series we have on tv) but I think he would be better used as the voice of the Book rather than Arthur, the sarcastic tone in his voice is perfect and yes we would need Nick Frost in there actually now thinking about it he would

I’m sorry but the praise websites are giving this series of Doctor Who are either coming from someone who adores the show without the thought of questioning anything about it or by people who dont watch it and just read a write up of what happened by a fan of the show because for me this series has been a wash.

I’ve said this before on here, but as long as Simon Pegg get’s the lead in any Hitchhiker reboot/remake/sidequel/sequel I’m all for it.

A star for you just because Daniel Jackson is my second favourite SG1 character alongside Jack.

i09ers I need your help.

I’m not a War on Christmas believer. I was using them as examples of what some schools are doing that can boost the idea of a war on Christmas. I probably could’ve made that a lot clearer.
