"No harm, no foul." How did they resist the temptation to do a poultry pun?
Simple, funny episode. It's kind of sweet whenever Bob gets to make a new friend - this felt close enough, even if there were ulterior motives. I'd be up for seeing Jack again.

- Yay, both of the main couples have ended the Will They/Won't They suspense (which was only one episode long in Evie and Xavier's case but whatever)!
- Yay, the Hank/@Winniecooper534 break-up was completely mutual!
- Poor Timothy just cannot get out of Evie's orbit, no matter how hard he tries.
- Doesn't Xavier have an

Honestly, "No to marrow" makes me want to give everything else in this episode a free pass. Between that and the python named Monty, the pun game was on point tonight!
I was not thrilled with the main (I guess?) plot, with Xavier and Evie basically switching attitudes about keeping their relationship open. Plus,

Phil was kind of grating tonight, but then that was the point. And it made Gail's speech hit especially hard.
P.S. - I had no idea they made I Want My Hat Back into a short! I know the book but thought for sure the title must be a coincidence. Thanks, Last Man on Earth/Vikram!

I have to go with Fort Night. So many moments that are just hilarious to me.

I know it was the product of a crime spree, but Jack-O-Land made for a lovely visual to end the night on.

- Still not a fan of Timothy pining for Evie, but I like that he chose to do it Shining-style.
- I also like the fun this show has with transitions ("T-Bone's lost his way." *cut to Evie giving directions*).
- And the Big Romantic Gestures it stages (cake fight, flyer-throwing)
- Xavier, however free-spirited you are,

Cat food became Pat food.

The emotional speech about Malibu rang a little false to me, too, even if they did all have some big life events there. Didn't ruin the episode by any means, though.
- Given Melissa's increasing love of destruction, maybe she and Phil would've made a better match than anyone thought.
- Not as good as Phil and Carol,

"I'm so retroactively angry about racism!"

Holy cow. I hadn't even heard about the trilogy.

I enjoyed about half of the episode. I'd love it if they could keep Timothy involved without him trying to win Evie back. I had really enjoyed his refusal to be her second choice (and his apparently hitting it off with the barmaid) in the pilot.
Good pair of considerate gestures (the comfy chair and the washing

Did Pushing Daisies live a long and healthy life in this world, too?

*two armies' worth of applause*

No, you are not.

"As long as we're back in time for the lunch rush"…Bob, don't you know that's the number-one way to make sure you *won't* be back in time for the lunch rush?

I did enjoy Carol full-naming him this week.

- One thing none of the characters brought up was that Todd didn't mean to kill Pat. "I manslaughtered someone" might weigh a *little* less heavily on is conscience than "I murdered someone".
- Grammar Stickler Carol is always welcome.
- I was kind of disappointed that the episode was turning into one of those

Gail drank her trauma away! Or away into her vault, at least.

I usually really like musical sequences, but I think this one worked better in the dream world. Still a fun premiere - it's great to be back!
