I absolutely agree with you. I do not, however, think that this sentiment is necessarily at odds with the general sentiment of "Man…the internet can be a really shitty place with some really shitty people sometimes."

To be fair, lots of people spontaneously combust every day.
Same here! The way I look at it, it's like discovering some long-buried truth from history. Like, if we found out exactly what happened to Edward V and his brother (a.k.a. "The Princes in the Tower") somehow. I mean, we know the broad strokes of the story (they most likely died of natural causes or were outright…
No, not quite. He was just on the Virgo of a big discovery, though.
Wouldn't that be "dorned" beef?
Bo shuda!
It's also worth pointing out that the companion book "The World of Ice and Fire" is also a good collection of "prequel" material. And it kind of highlights how there are many, many, many "prequels" hidden away in his world's history.
I'm stunned nobody has mentioned Bridge to Terabithia yet. I didn't see the film, but I knew the story of the book in broad strokes, and the film that was advertised was almost certainly NOT what audiences got.
AND the walking dead!
Woo?!
Meh. I cut him no slack. She said she wanted to leave, and he wrote a whole story around that. If she then changes her mind, it completely destroys the narrative he created. If he cares about actual storytelling, he says "Sorry, love. We've already booked another character in. Maybe we can have you on as a guest…
Eh, I only dimly recall Season 5 now. My recollection is that it was…you know…ok. That was the "crack in time" thing, right? It was alright. Seasons 6 and 7, though, were just flat-out sloppy. Season 8 was uneven, but, I thought, had a really good through-line.
To be fair, maybe it's time we had someone who's a better showrunner than a writer. Moffat's episodes are often standout, top-notch quality. But as a showrunner, he has been, in my opinion, largely a disaster. When he's not in charge and/or has real constraints on him (e.g. limited to 45 min), he turns out solid…
And Obama.
This is not a fucking question.
Who's gonna play John Holmes?
Don't forget ? and the Mysterians!
Did the show end in a supremely anti-climactic way? Because that'd explain why Stephen King liked it.
Justified was fantastic…but now it's done. Sons of Anarchy was good…for about 2-3 seasons, and then was just grasping at its former glory…and then was just an excuse to let Katy Segal sing in yet another brutal and sad musical montage sequence for a unnecessarily-70-minutes episode.
Pedantic counter-counter-counterpoint: That wasn't until after the "color" era of the show. During the "black and white" era, the Daleks were all the same greyish/blueish color and weren't like a bag of Skittles.
