I wrapped up the story campaigns for Breath of the Wild and Fallout 4; post apocalyptic games with wildly different philosophies. Fallout believes that you can't befriend one group without slaughtering others. Imagine if the Zoras wanted you to murder the Gerudos and Rutos before they'd assist with Calamity Ganon.

Plus remember how "boring" people have complained the ending to Dragon Age Inqusition was? And then we got the more morally complex DLC and the story was "good" again?

I felt Meer really shined in the Citadel DLC. It let him use more of his improv comedy background.

A "traditional" action game would have ended with Shepard shooting up a giant reaper real good then flying off in the nick of time. That's basically the "good" ending of Mass Effect 2. Bioware aimed for something more ambitious and was rapped on the knuckles for it.

While Dragon Age 2, Inquisition and Mass Effect 3 only had two m/m options apeace they were (IMO) well written. I haven't met the two gents of Mass Effect Andromeda yet but I'm told they are bland. The clips on Kotaku also suggest that the animators have far more interest in female bodies then male… which is fair

It's funny how recent Bioware reviews have encouraged me to rush to the plot sections while Final Fantasy XV reviews advised that I stick to the grindy open world and avoid the plot half for as long as possible.

As someone who cleared the Hinterlands myself I've apperciated the warnings to leave Eos as soon as I can. I just met Peebee (not a fan) and have started driving the vehicle into rocks between towers. I'll be leaving soon.

I just met Peebee last night. I'm getting the impression she's the Yuffie of Andromeda.

Fair enough. On the flip side of that I was one of those kids who fit the stereotype. I didn't get to have the teenage relationship experience because my out-ness made me a lightning rod for bullies and frightened off my closeted peers.

That was the arc I wanted. The way I interpreted the English translation was his realization that the fact that he likes to sew and is attracted to the androgynous Naoto doesn't mean he is actually gay.

"wakka wakka wakka"

True. I was bullied into a relationship with the drama club girl early in the school year and didn't see her again till graduation… when she suddenly wanted to have sex. I never dated in high school. It seems I didn't miss much.

Humor is in short supply all around this week

Persona Q lets you flirt a bit as well in the Valentine's Day dungeon.

My Persona 4 experience.
I read a review. A rave. It mentioned a dungeon where a character confronts his repressed homosexuality. I hadn't played many games with gay characters (this was before I got into Bioware) so I bought myself a copy.

Right? In the last two months I've completed the story campaigns for Final Fantasy XV, Breath of the Wild and Fallout 4. Each game involves confronting a threat to a war torn, post-apocalyptic world. Once the game is "won" you realize the people that survived are still living in a war torn, post-apocalyptic world.

Apparently 4-second kissing scenes if your Ryder is a gay or bisexual man.

Critics love Mass Effect Andromeda! "Mild-mannered yet desperately horny!" writes The AV Club. "A treasury of mirth!"

Yes but did he kill him in the shower?

crafting stories for a new character is a much easier source of creativity for the writers.
