The Women is delightful but it is full of caricatures. Crawford's performance is downright naturalistic next to Shearer.

Tallulah Bankhead used to say the same sorts of things about Davis.
I'm also a fan of Davis's work in The Little Foxes. She joked once about how people only want her to "play a b*tch." She played against type a few times but the results could be awfully dull. Her sweet secretary in The Man Who Came to Dinner has been played on stage as a tough screwball comedy dame. Davis made her…
Saw a concert of the musical Little Me. It was based on a book about a vacuous B-movie star but the stage show shifted focus to her 7 suitors. They were all originally played by Sid Caesar who improvised ruthlessly. Neil Simon's jokes haven't held up well and the concert was at its funniest when the leading man went…
Wilder found the perfect blend of sweet and bitter in that film. The scenario felt a little less sweet and more sordid when it was brought to the stage as Promises, Promises.
I thought it was interesting how she rejected her yuppie boyfriend at the start of the film only to find a yuppie husband when she was finished with Seb.
Harry Hamlin was interviewed about the film for the documentary The Celluloid Closet. He comes across as a bit defensive. He's grown calmer in later interviews though he passively blames it for hurting his career.

What we don't understand
In fact it scares us
And his feelings are ambiguous at least"

Very wise. I broke my rule and bought a Wii-U after three games. I only made it to four in the console's lifetime.
Or access to Pop Tate's freezer.
I just did a search for speed runs. The record is around 80 minutes. http://www.zeldaspeedruns.c…
I'm not that invested in Archie or the plot(s) but I enjoy watching Veronica, Betty and Kevin come of age and I'm surprisingly concerned about Jughead's homelessness.
It's getting old but they need them to build a stable of murder suspects (and victims) without losing any of the core teens. The evil parents also help them highlight the good side of the inept parents like Mrs. Lodge and Mr. Andrews.
I've been gearing up for BOTW with a replay of A Link Between Worlds. It's the fastest moving Zelda game and even quicker on a replay. Mark a few spots on the map, rent the items from Rubio, go back to collect said items and Bam you're nearly indestructible.
Piggy was a simple but delightful character in the past. Her traits included a love for Kermit, a hunger for fame and casual cruelty. The recent show dropped the first two and ratcheted up the third which trapped the character in a corner.
I have fond memories of the anarchic Muppet Babies and the creepy Jim Henson's Storyteller. As a child I formed stronger connections with these than The Muppet Show or Muppet movies. I think I'd rather see new projects with new puppets than watch beloved characters stuck updating their established personas. The…
For me it was "And now ladies and gentlemen we give you the Level 3 noobs against the Level 87 Japanese death squa… Well that's it for the match."
Cue User Review backlash in 3…2…
Friend: You should watch The Magicians. There's a great gay character.
AVClub: He's spending the season gradually learning how to sleep with a woman.
