Rock even turned the gun on himself in that series of jokes. Penn's just a sourpuss.

I read that scene more as the door opening to an "Ian becomes a firefighter" arc, with the new love interest as a possibility.
I actually consider Season 4 to be the best out of the series and where the whole things should have ended, minus that last cutaway with Jimmy.
He took a man in his mouth.
Beautifully put. This is also the same struggle Colbert is currently enduring with his respective Letterman succession, not to mention the same one Seth Meyers is just now seeing the tail end of after nearly two years on his current platform.
Agreed. Mickey's character change in seasons 4-5 proved Mickey to be the overall more worthwhile, both in the 'Shameless narrative' sense, and as a part of that couple. It also helps that Noel Fisher is substantially stronger of an actor out of the two.
I'm still adjusting to sober(ish), "still a horrible person, but slightly more sympathetic" version of Frank. Comments like that help.
This episode reminded me of how much I miss the Lip-Ian dynamic from earlier in the series. The mid-credits cutaway from the last season finale did the same.
Also, fuck Gus. That guy is the epitome of "I don't have a personality, so I grew a beard to compensate."
Fey has appeared in three episodes in this season alone. She's like Fred Armisen in the sense where she pops up so frequently that you don't get a chance to miss her.
I'll even give the Charles Barkley episode its due for having its moments.
I'd just watch a full 60 minutes of Svetlana insulting the hipster patrons every week, quite frankly.
Those, too, actually. I'm sad Teti didn't pick up with Season 5 over the summer like he said he would.
It's not just Myles. I love most of the contributors for the AVC, but Todd's Sopranos reviews are on another planet from anything else this website has released.
Exactly. I feel like the writers have had the "Fiona gets pregnant" storyline in their back pocket since Season 1, and this was simply the most opportune time in their minds to release it.
When Ron Howard finally produces a film starring a talking pie, Ice Cube better be the co-star to said pie.
My only issue with Silversun Pickups is that they had me initially thinking Kill Hannah had put out new music.
I can think of at least two things wrong with that title.
The only other I can think of right now is Johnny Cash with American IV. Today is a sad day.
Well, @rockin69, you were right on Cryptic… :-(
Or Aidy Bryant if Rebel Wilson is too busy.
