You say this but none of what you say is set in stone. Case in point. I ran 35's on a Dana 30/35 combo with a locker in my TJ but never broke an axle. I ran a few trails around my area including Fordyce creek. I think the key to a lot of it is how gentle you are. Act like an ass and even a Dana 60 will break.

Yeah, after posting, I thought about it and came to the same conclusion. Me and my poor reading comprehension.

Isn’t Cadillac a GM product?

I wish you could find a decent livable house around Reno/Sparks for $150k. $250k is probably the beginning prices for starter homes here and even then it will most likely be tiny. Hell, mobile homes in Sun Valley are going for close to $200k and that place is a shithole.

I can agree, I am one of those people. Mine was a low speed crash but the road rash across the visor told me the full face helmet made sure I still had a face.

Maybe not 150 but you sure as hell are cruising on the freeway at 65-75 mph and getting hit with a bee in the face at 65 is no fun. I live in Reno as well and I know all those great back roads, Mt Rose hwy, Geiger grade, Hwy 89 out of Truckee, all require a trip on the freeway to reach.

Strange. My K2500 plow truck doesn’t have 4Auto and seems to turn just fine in the snow while in 4HI.

So what you’re saying is that if your being pulled over, just speed up and run away. If the cops never high speed pursue, then criminals, no matter how minor, will learn that the best way to not get caught is just speed away.

I hate to say it but your nephew was being scammed. No way did all 4 ABS sensors need replacing. And there is no difference in maintenance costs between a BMW manufactured in South Carolina, Mexico or Germany. And I have had them all, a 79', ‘83, ‘98 and ‘00 3 series, a ‘06 M roadster, a ‘12 X5 Diesel and a ‘16 M235i.

How in the world could a 4 wheel brake job cost $3000? I’ve owned/own many BMWs and honestly, I’ve never spent more than $500 for a brake job.

I went with silicone. Looks similar to metal but I never have to worry about electrocution, crushing, degloving or avulsion, etc. Google degloving sometime and you may never want to wear a metal ring again.

To be fair, a lot of things anything would make NASCAR more interesting

That’s awesome! I had a Big Bear back in the day. Bearings throughout, some aftermarket motor (don’t remember which), electronic speed controller, etc. That thing was a blast.

One of my top three car “chase” clips. Right up there with Bullit and Ronin. One question, I’m not denying the movie wasn’t overdubbed with the Ferrari sound, but I want to know how they did it. The revving and downshifting are pretty damn close to what you see on the screen, I don’t know how they would have done it

Are you seeing planes? is your name Tattoo? Because I swear to god you’re living on fantasy island!

I remember when they were new, a good friend in high school had one.  I loved them then and still love them now.

I just received the Arcade1Up Star Wars console last week and I swear, for a game that came out in 1983, it really still holds up. Though, I’ve always had a thing for the Battlezone, Tempest, etc style graphics.

While that makes a perfectly serviceable grilled cheese sandwich, I’m partial to cheddar and mozzarella between two pieces of good sourdough bread grilled with butter.

Pick Axe Pete was the best! I have such found memories of playing that game on our 13" color tv.

Buy the $1000 engine, pull it apart to check clearances and such (just to be sure the guy didn’t do a half assed job), put it back together and slam it in the truck. Nobody cares about matching numbers on that thing and it will never be worth any amount where the originality of the engine will come into play.
