also, I’d not want to be with a guy who treated people around me, not to mention staff who are beneath him in the hierarchy. Eventually, he will treat you like shit, too. That’s what guys like that do.

I just looked because it hit me it was around this time in 2017 that he passed, and yes it was October 1. I have two stories from when my grandfather passed and my grandmother. When my grandmother died, I woke up to a huge WOOOOOSH over my bed, it was just after the sun came up. I looked up and the shades on my window

Same- I haven’t posted here in ages so it will probably stay grey, but for those who want one like this, here goes.

yes to this, and to find your place: I do a lot of research and I screenshot the place I left off, and save it to my desktop. Then I do a control +F with the first few words in the sentence or paragraph I left off, and jump to it.

there are few things hotter than Cusack in Grosse Point Blank.

Yeah yeah yeah... listen, it was Friday. :)

This is better worded than my comment but exactly my point, ie, if Picasso: “Hey, sup with that? Tell us more.” (as you can see, I am even more eloquent on Saturdays!) And I theorize the artist thought it would go unnoticed.

Anytime.

It wasn’t about copyright. I think if the guy liked this photo enough to use it in his own work, then maybe say who the original artist is. Tell people, and say ‘hey I loved this and wanted to incorporate it inot my own work. That’s the right thing to do. If someone took a very famous piece, obviously you wouldn’t be

Oh I see, you’re here to argue with everyone. And I thought I was special! I’ve explained enough in my replies to you and other commenters. Time to appropriate some whiskey into my belly downtown. Have fun.

People that view the work would say ‘hey, this is a Picasso that has been modified and reused.’ Not that there would be some major lawsuit or what have you. I think I would just prefer the artist doing the appropriating say hey, this photo came from X and I am using it to get acros the idea Y.

Didn’t think you were! I think we’re on the same page... :)

I get it. And know of what you speak of... I just don’t think this was done particularly well.

Sure, I am familiar with copyright law in regards to art, still don’t have to like it.

I’m definitely generalizing, but point being I think I can’t really get behind ‘appropriating’ someone else’s work. I chose to use Picasso as an example as I don’t see one artist’s work being more valuable than another when it comes to the decision/statement from the Gallery. I think it can be done successfuly and

Pretty sure if I converted a Picasso to black and white and covered it in graffiti and then attempted to show it as my own, that I’d be called out for it. And rightfully so.

Concur. I am irish/italian/german and have both undertones, and a poppy color is the best on me. Also perfect for a summer red...

At Sephora You can return anything you use and don’t like, even if it’s half gone. I’ve done this a few times. Go for it!

Seriously- THIS IS THE DAMN POINT. Women should not have to be ‘extraordinary’ to make the same basic salary. And in some instances, women who are ‘extraordinary’ or work hard to go above and beyond get singled out and punished for it, especially in the corporate world. Meredith: this is exactly what you should be

I know... I guess it’s just the death rattle, the inevitable shudder and grasp before we can finally move forward, (I guess= I hope.) Still enraging.
