I can agree that computers/video camera’s can’t be trusted as well as humans, though they too make mistakes, but are easier to correct in the moment.

Edit: also, not sure why I’m too worried about this, my bank doesn’t even have a branch within 60 miles of where I live, and my other bank is online only entirely....

Sounds like you need to record yourself on video counting the money, then putting it in the envelope, and the ATM. Or, if you trust them, do it in front of the camera on the ATM. But it sucks that this is what it’s come too...

Compared to the other options (minus driving yourself, which = lots of time and maintenance on your car), I guess you do make a valid point in how affordable flying is. I’m just a bit skewed as everything is expensive to me, living in NJ, where the cost of living takes up most of my paychecks :\. I need to get out of

Agreed!  These airlines need to stop charging us a fortune, just to try and tell US how to dress, and punch us in the face when they tell us, the seat we paid for actually isn’t ours!  This industry needs a serious overhaul before it becomes the next US Healthcare/Pharmacy copy-cat :\

I’m 13 years into my IT career, and couldn’t agree more. Hell, I’m one of the ones who shows up in t-shirts with a pocket and skinny jeans, with my tattoo’s showing, as long as there’s no one important coming or an important meeting for me that day of course. The servers and my monitors don’t care what I look like,

Depends where you live. Out here in expensive-as-hell NJ, that seems about right for a 2000 sq. ft. home.  However, if you live anywhere reasonable, that probably sounds high.

True, good point, we do just have too many cars, just as we have too many people lol. (I can’t wait to get out of NJ, hopefully next year!)

That is a good observation, something I never even thought about, thank you for the explaining it as well. That’s a great idea and I WISH they would do that, it would help everyone

Coming from a 2016 Jetta GLI owner, I so want to agree with you. The MQB platform is nice, the new body style looks great (albeit it’s very large and getting chunky at 100lbs heavier than my Mk6.5 GLI), but all the tech they’re forcing you take. Like adaptive cruise control and collision avoidance - that’s what’s

I agree with this. Not being a fan of motorcycles in any way, shape or form, I agree that they are much safer lane-splitting at low speeds, through stop-and-go traffic and at lights to be in front. During high speed, on the highway, it is dangerous and not smart. But low-speed I’m totally okay with lane splitting.

My dad, being a car guy and working for racing series such as C.A.R.T. (RIP), Mazda road to Indy and Michelin Pilot Sports Car series, has always had small pickup trucks that we would tastefully modify. I remember him having a Nissan hardbody when I was young, then an 89 S10 extended cab with a cat-back and 6-disc CD

I also would like to vote for this. I have a 2016 GLI and love it! The new MK7 (2019+) GLI’s are even better!    (I’ve been debating doing more work to mine or just saying eff it and trade it in/sell it for a new body style GLI since it was announced)

It’s big now, I agree, since the 6th gen it’s blown up in size, but 5.5gen and earlier, they weren’t large cars by any sense of the term

Hell, next time something happens, the driver regaining control of his car may as well just say, “oops didn’t see him there” and tap the driver coming around the corner. At least you won’t give up your #1 spot based on some call made by a higher authority who has the end say in it. Make the game more interesting, add

hahaha, I LOVE seeing people who do this, considering it actually hurts gas mileage, not helps it. I always just laugh at them, as they think they’re saving fuel with the tailgate down.

Ugh, these kids are the worst. First they burn down the beautiful Sleighton School, and now this! I didn’t even get a chance to make it out to Nazareth to get some photo’s of it, now that it’s been abandoned. Would have been nice to see it now, compared to the memories of the C.A.R.T. races I went too as a kid. These

After reading your comment, along with a few others here (Chan - Engines in the Middle pls, muttons, and COMTNDRVR), thank you for the responses. I can understand it better with your explanations, and it does make sense now. I guess I just don’t see a need to be looking at the 8" tablet/LCD screen in my car, often

I get that part, and agree it helps to be more in drivers line of sight. But why not design the dash to come up and mold the screen in?

I had a 1997 Grand Prix that solved that problem pretty easily... HUD. I loved that damn HUD, even though it was just old school green text on the windshield, I wish and hope more

IMO that comes back to dash design. If the dash is designed with that in mind, it doesn’t have to be too low, but the screen can be integrated. I also dislike the way they look when looking in the car, with the back of the screens just sticking up.  I’ve seen manufacturers design it in very well, then others do not

I couldn’t agree more, and I noticed now that reverse camera’s are mandatory (in the US at least) a lot more automakers are just sticking screens on top of the dash. It’s awful and I can’t wait for that trend to die and LCD’s be molded into the dash design properly

Okay okay, the Maxima was never considered a compact sedan, that’s fair.

I just personally don’t enjoy classifying everything down that far. Sedan, Coupe, of course, but compact sedan, vs full-size sedan? Nah. Luxury sedans can have their own category, as they tend to also be much higher in pricing, but Altima/Maxima,
