I read the books after watching most of the series and it didn’t ruin it at all. The reason is because you either can have the spoilers in the book or the TV show but not both, obviously. The Hodor “spoiler” was great in the TV show, I have no doubt it won’t lose much if anything in the books, despite being spoiled. …
