Also, the first generation Ford Escape was sold as the Maverick in Europe.

But yes, the set for industrial decay Detroit was actually filmed in Dallas. Here is a good website for it:

You are probably right.  I just assumed CG because that’s how I think anymore.

Will we ever see a US airline operating a COMAC? I doubt it. But mark my words, by the mid 2020's it will be a popular plane in East Asian, South East Asian, and African markets. Maybe not as popular as Boeing or Airbus, but a solid 3rd place.

I’ve always had a weird thing for the P-39 Airacobra myself.

A small bit of Robocop trivia:

OK, now not being a troll and being serious. If you look at the prototype B-17:

OK, now I admit I am being a troll.

Airbus will be the ultimate beneficiary from their incompetence.

I always thought that the 747SP was pretty funky.

I hear that you like big tails and you cannot lie.

How did you get greyed? :(

Close, but this is closer.

And we can’t let Robert Gates off the hook either. From what I understand, he really spearheaded the idea to cut off F-22 production.

From my understanding, that is going to be harder going forward. BMW is moving to build as many products as they can in the US for US Sale. Not impossible, but its mostly going to be the expensive 5 and 7 series cars that are German made in this country.

Right, but from a safety perspective that’s not a terrible place to put it. It’s not optimal, but not bad either. At least it’s outside the cabin and doesn’t pose a fume risk to the occupants. And it makes sense given the Trabant; by gravity feeding the engine there is no fuel pump required. Really, it’s no different

See Mr Stan’s reply to me.  Apparently it wasn’t just Chevrolet.  At one time it was apparently standard practice.

Yeesh. I only used the Chevrolet because it was one that I remembered specifically. But I had heard before that once upon a time, that was common practice.

The strange thing is, that was an improvement on the earlier designs. A good example is the ‘49 Chevrolet pickup truck which mounted the tank inside the cab behind the seat.
