The old theme song was so good. A shame they replaced it with a bland dirge. I get the statement being made in the credits, but it comes across as a little pretentious for a pulpy biker gang show.

I respect what Sutter has accomplished in creating this world, but his tendency toward violence and gore for the sake of shock value was a turn-off. SoA got worse with this over time. So far, Elgin James is doing a better job of balancing quality storytelling with the violence inherent in these shows. 

I miss the old theme song. I get that the new opening credits are aiming for social relevance, but it comes off as on-the-nose and pretentious for a show about a biker gang that thinks nothing of shooting everyone dead at a grandmother’s birthday party.
