So wait, the report interviewed a person who makes incredibly short games that are also free which effectively makes the refund argument moot? Way to go, confusing/misleading Kotaku reporting as usual...

“What I find most insulting is just how little respect Steam seems to have for smaller games,” she said. “They also don’t let you write reviews for games that you’ve played for less than five minutes. So like, I put freshman year on Steam, and it barely has reviews because no one wants to play such a sad thing twice

Then that’ll make developers make longer, better games. The steam store is already flooded with bad games.

oh my god. Really?? a shit-ton of people died. Its misogyny cause she’s a woman?

Yeah, I can’t help but see the misogyny in what they did to Karsi. I was doubtful of D&D being misogynistic throughout everything, even Sansa. But this combined with Gilly last week sealed the deal for me. They really need to take a good long look at themselves.

Replace the location with a Middle East vibe, replace the main character with some sort of soldier, and replace the people being killed with terrorists and this game would be considered “OK”... I’ve seen worse in other games that have gotten great reviews, so why so much hate with this?

This thing would have come and gun if not for the sensationalist media. Which is quite funny in my opinion because it is a perfect example on how media can escalate situations through sensationalism.

You know, this game isn’t half as violent as I was expecting it to be.
It’s kinda really tame compared to other games *scratches head*

“Back when konami released video games”

Activision Blizzard, Square Enix, Bethesda (under Zenimax), Capcom, Nintendo, Warner Bros...

They were a helpful and visible reminder that not all female gamers are just farmville addicts.

Yearp, TBC servers all day errday

Just play any expansion you want on a private server. It’s a blast! I just played my first private server last week (the burning crusade) and I haven’t stopped since! It feels good to be home.

Eh no. You advance the victims story more with such acts. People already know what an asshole and bastard Ramsey is so it is not for his progression but for hers. These events will form and deepen her as a character this is what first time experiences do good or bad ones. Heroes for example become only stronger such

Here’s a crazy idea:
Reiterated plot device (Rape advances male character’s position) makes the very feminist point that such is inevitable in a strictly patriarchal system.

I dont think they are using rape “to advance a male character’s story.” This is a woman who lives in a castle populated by rapists and murderers. The fact that she hasn’t had attempted rapes every day is pretty surprising. I think they are just trying to show what would realistically happen given that environment. Not

It’s time to accept what kind of show this is.

No, every character in the series loses whats most important to them.

Rape has been an integral part of the show since S01E01.(as has incest, murder, torture, mutilation) If you don’t like it or can’t accept it, either stop watching or stop moaning about it.

It could be more “fun” if they showed more than the same 3 adds over and over again. I get so frustrated when I have to watch the same ad 2-3 times in 5 minutes.
