We tie-dyed the felt of a pool table. The surface looked wavy and uneven. It took several weeks for those of us that played on it regularly to get used to it. After that, no one else stood a chance shooting against us on that table.

This further illustrates why Superman is such an incredibly boring character. He's like the kid that you used to play pretend with. You'd say, "I have a raygun!" And he'd say, "I have a magical shield that blocks all ray attacks ever and it also makes you not able to make up any more weapons!"

Seriously, Kal-El. You're

I'd say that truth is always better than lies. But how to DELIVER that truth is key...

People don't like I, Robot? I mean, it's not a good adaptation, but taken on its own merits it's a solid and entertaining action sci-fi movie.

Been there, been there, the coffee is awful in that one, been there, going there next Summer, been there...

How many centuries did it take to discover that cats will do the opposite of what you want them to do?

Their mistake was not giving the rocket to the animal.

So it's not an opposing anything - it's friendly.

I've been in the lab at Caltech where Allen Hills 84001 was analyzed. It was, for the time, following the most stringent protocols on being a clean lab, which leads me to conclude that it is more likely than not that Allen Hills 84001 did have traces or signals of Martian microfossils in it. The likelihood of

"Be quiet, or I'll throw you in front of the elephants...!"

Maybe we're that person on Facebook that everyone has on 'ignore'.

The so-called "Fermi Paradox" is founded on an utter failure to grasp the sheer scale of both time and space with respect to the universe we inhabit. Even if technology-producing life IS relatively common, the simple facts of time and distance would make it INCREDIBLY hard to detect from our point of view, with the

I remember 30 years ago, or so, when people said the same thing about planets around other stars. The general consensus was that it was quite possible there were other planets out there, but we would never be able to see any of them from Earth. 20 years ago, that question was answered, and ever since, we've been

Click your heels together and say "no place like home". Dorothy should have cut that bitch. She could have been out of Oz and home in 10 seconds without the pointless journey.

Yes, because sugar dissolves in water, and the Wicked Witch of the West is made of brown sugar. (Read the book.)

I already posted this on it's own, but I'll say it again in brief- Bill was built up as the best assassin of them all, and he is David Carradine, which is why I went to see these movies, because Kung Fu was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Forget all the movie reasons, hiring Carradine to talk about comics instead

I mentioned him, the last time Vampires came up - but I'd like to nominate William Marshal as another badass vampire. Yeah the title is goofy, the movie is a snapshot of the seventies - but Prince Mamuwalde was a badass muther and Marshall was as good as Lee and Lugosi.

A sinister six movie?

i keep saying this — Sinister Six: The (un)Usual Suspects. I would watch the hell out of that. They wouldn't even need to hire Garfield; just have a CGI Spiderman get captured or be otherwise put out of commision at the beginning of the movie. I'm actually MORE upset that they put the idea on the table, for the fact

Sony could just drag out all of the plot lines and characters from The Clone Saga; Ben Reilly ,Kaine, The Scarlet Spider, Jackal, etc. They could easily get three highly confusing and ultimately unsatisfying movies out of that.
