He’s going to be a lonely man in prison with no mama to visit him.
He’s going to be a lonely man in prison with no mama to visit him.
This would be a good area of work for some hackers collective to work on: break into the devices and accounts of powerful people who will otherwise go uninvestigated and then release the information publicly so the outcry forces an official investigation and trial.
I always thought their products were expensive badly made poorly fitting scratchy trash and now I know why. It was a business run by men for the purposes of gratifying men’s appetites. Their customers’ needs or wants were secondary, if they were considered at all.
The money should go to a charity for supporting sexual assault survivors. Winner can pick which exact organization of that type. Then this would be slightly less tone deaf.
This is why I thought it was weird that they would make this kind of statement in the first place though? Maybe I don’t understand the culture as well as I thought.
I was gonna object. Then I remembered all the shit women get told we’re too old for (at IMHO ridiculously young ages). So go ahead and tell men they are too old for this one thing.
Maybe if their favorite house suddenly gets washed out to sea one day with them in it and they narrowly survive? Short of them actually having an experience that causes them to feel the fear and desperation and difficulty continuing life as they know it, I don’t see a way.
This is incredibly messed up. Yet another example of how powerful people enable each other to get away for decades with monstrous abuse. Even when the game is over and they’re discovered they are still playing on the side of the abusers.
I’m having a hard time being outraged about this. Yes he shouldn’t have said it. No he shouldn’t be fired for saying it. Everyone can blast him and he’ll learn to do better in the future.
I would argue talking about saving humanity is thinking in the right direction but still ineffective. People are more moved to action by stories about a specific individual than by stories about a nameless faceless class of people. People are most moved to action by things which effect them. The problem is the…
I agree with you that government shouldn’t coerce people into not having kids. I do think that it can nudge people by its policies and propaganda. Hell even if they don’t mean to, the precarious state of employment and health insurance means I wish I was never born, forget having kids, I can barely support ME. No…
At least 50% of what makes life more pleasant as a thin person, in my experience, is being treated like a normal person, instead of like a pariah because of your size. I’ve been 130 and I have been 250 and the worst part is how people treat you. The funny thing is, for a woman it doesn’t take much (20lbs?) to start…
I can’t wait til “the department of life” bans guns since they, you know, take away life. A grown adult’s right to own a gun shouldn’t take precedence over a child’s right not to accidentally shoot themselves with a not-locked up loaded gun or a child’s right not to get shot in yet another school shooting, right?…
I’m torn because: I would like to learn more about Meghan’s backstory because I admire her commitment to her principles. BUT I do not want to contribute even one penny to benefit her father and sister who are so hateful and desperate for attention.
It’s probably the vulture capitalists’ newest directive: stick to anti-feminism and fluff pieces.
I feel like a golden opportunity was missed to discuss his big nut energy?
Can we please not frame it this way? Maybe it’s just me but when men fight it’s just a fight but when women do the exact same thing, it gets gendered and used against women, for acting like normal human beings who sometimes fight, because that’s part of being alive some days.
We can agree on Warren anyway.
The #1 reason he should go away is that he’s become a very polarizing politician. Same reason I gave for Clinton staying out of the public eye. We don’t need party in-fighting to distract the party from the crucial task of dislodging our would-like-to-be forever emperor.
wait a minute... I agree that Mayor Pete is a verrry unappealing candidate but you’d rather risk 4 more years of tRump than hold your nose and vote for the flawed (but not as flawed as orange foolious) dem?
