As the third quarter was getting under way, I tried to get inside but it was wall to wall people so I was trying to figure out how to photograph in there. I made a split decision that I needed to be behind the bar and asked the manager if that would be OK. They ushered me back there at the beginning of the 3rd quarter

Sports Illustrated assigned me to photograph the diversity of 49er fans for a story they were planning for the Super Bowl preview issue.
