The Constitution is clear on the election. Individual states can’t delay the entire Presidential election any more than the President can. If they do not deliver their electors to Congress by Dec. 23rd at the latest, they don’t get counted. Period. They don’t want that.

The President cannot declare Martial Law either. That is a Congressional power.

What I love about it is that they didn’t really have a choice. Remember all those Republicans who resigned? That was door number two. Those that didn’t take it were left to pucker up or else lose their next primaries.

The disease is not nearly fatal enough to “purge a large chunk of these morons from the planet”. It is far more infectious than it is fatal which means any individual with COVID-19 is far more likely to be responsible for the deaths of multiple innocent others than to die of it themselves.
