And yet I liked it. Supergirl and Black Widow are totally different characters. Black Widow having rom com elements is funny because she’s no where near a rom com lead. Or as I said on Twitter:

who even knows if Roger’s seen the grandson (whatever his name is) since he left his daughter to farm and fuck on a proto-commune upstate.

Oh you want mistreatment? The Batgirl Special was specifically written to give the character a goodbye. When the writer, Barbara Randall, was asked her direction for the book and Barbara Gordon she was told "She's getting her spine blown out in 'The Killing Joke', so try to make people care."

Great article Rob. The Batgirl cover was not a appropriate for where the book is now and going.

Dini has stated they were. The current writers consider them to be very close friends.

Mego released a number of female characters in the early 70s including Wonder Woman.

One of those days where the assholes are everywhere? Yep.

The Niven piece is a piece of misogynistic crap and I'm really surprised to see it referenced here.

Just a public service notice to people who hand wave rape threats:

Total comic nerd reaction: OMG Maria Hill's husband is proposing to Lois Lane.

Sigh. I see they have given her high heels. Of course.

I would not recommend this issue for a 10 year old.

When I saw the title of this post this is the exact episode I thought of. Overblown, overacted and overdone.

I'm rather fond of artist Ryan Kelly's take on Supergirl who looks like she just won a hell of a fight at the local park. Her costume features Chucks and gym shorts.

One of DC Comics most fan servicy artists Guillem March (google Catwoman and ass and Zero issue) did provide the female fans of Jason Todd this:

Um, why not have both an older and younger Wasp? Why not write the story so Janet isn't dead? Why is her fridging a necessary part of Hank's development of Pym particles? Isn't THIS an obvious and helpful change?

I'm a little tired when people call out objectified images of women in comics that people jump to "WHY DO YOU HATE SEX?" as if the two had anything in common. There's a time and place for everything. Is a book that features a well like female character from a publisher who has admitted they are going after female

No female led superhero movie announced, again. (Extra points for Lucy kicking the ass of Hercules this weekend to put another hole in the "women can't open action movies" argument). (Minus points for Marvel's Axel Alonso telling the Women of Marvel panel that if they keep making movies like Lucy beat Hercules they'll

So you're fine with Batman wearing a bustier and Superman rocking the skirt? I mean it's all just movie stuff, AMIRITE?
