Well then I'm wrong about that.
Perhaps, but I don't buy that this can be seen from space with the naked eye necessarily - even the top photo you can tell is a composite using some sort of camera - but that's a different point altogether.
But that said, this is terrible and I hope that it can be resolved quickly.
I believe his point is that saying the wildfires are big means one thing, saying "you can see them from space" is misleading at best and doesn't really mean anything - so why say it?
Could you quote Rick Perry?
I'm with you saltboy - I can be seen from space if you know where to look (and I stay in the same spot for a while). This is the same thing as the size of Irene junk. Yes, it's a hurricane. Yes those are big. Irene's size alone was nothing special for a hurricane AT ALL. It's LOCATION was - but yet we kept seeing…
I really hate this "seen from space" crap. REALLY? Guess what, my house can be seen from space too - maps.google.com see?!?
I don't get how this is a real issue. The likelihood is very remote first of all and second of all, it's not really the first generation where the defects start showing up - it's down the line.
1:50:24 - "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" "I've lost R2!!"
You beat me to this.
This feel like an Adam Sandler thing...and I stopped thinking he was funny 10 years ago.
Or if she's just killing him whenever she can, then he can die thousands of times in theory....?
Random thought - why does River shoot the doctor (in his future) and kill him, and then try to kill him again in his past (but her future!!!). Did she not remember killing him by the lake??? At first I thought this was huge and that she in fact is not in the suit by the lake - but I'm beginning to think it's just a…
Holy crap - I WANT to make $70,000 per HOUR TOO!!!!! (see bottom label for first graph "hourly mean wage"
Don't you want to have a body?
I agree. Since when does Giz or any Gawker site not do something because it could be embarrassing?? Like, this wasn't stolen technology or something. This was a picture. Yeah I took a look and it looks awful - I really feel for the guy. It's an horrific thing that he's had to go through and I do feel really bad…
=) I thought the same thing. Wow humans have been looking at that spot for 21 million years in the hopes they'd catch the light reaching us now eh?
Thank you. This
Why are space pictures of Irene news? Irene itself is big and has a huge impact on the eastern US, but has it been stated that this has the largest area for a hurricane in history or something? Aren't most hurricanes of this category this large??
