Sounds like it’s derived from “malediction,” which is another word for a “curse.”

October 7th on the Disney Channel. So, it’s only three weeks away.
Why is Darth Mode wearing a cape?
Man. Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors. How horrible is it that I can still sing part of that theme song?
I can see Farscape being a tough nut to crack, because you can’t get the entire band back together anymore. D’Argo ended up dead in Peacekeeper Wars, and Rygel’s voice actor is no longer with us. If they keep the stories from the comics by Boom! Studios, then there are a few more casualties in the subsequent years (Jot…
I think it’s meant to be an amalgam of the original dolls and Disney’s animated versions.
Now try to line up comics into a strict chronology using that same meticulous detail.
I really would be okay with this. Touch them up a bit, perhaps, so that they can include a couple of extra threads leading to additional content that’s been revealed since The Clone Wars originally aired. But I really want Echo’s story canonized and presented. I’d love it even more if Echo is the one who finally leads…
The newly released Thrawn: Alliances appears to be setting up the “big bad” in the Unknown Regions: the Grysk.
I enjoyed Runaways a great deal. The good news is, if you like Cloak and Dagger, Runaways has a very similar slow-burn, character-focused approach to its storytelling.
I watched the final version of the Spicediver Edit (which went through a few revisions over the years), and that version of Lynch’s Dune is such an improvement in presentation and pacing, that it really feels like the version of the film that should have been released. It includes content from deleted scenes and the…
I have to disagree about the art style, only because it feels so evocative of the old Uncle Scrooge comic books (on which DuckTales was based). I fell in love with it from the very first teaser for that very reason.
On the TV side of things, there’s also been major appearances of the Darkforce dimension (which, for the purposes of the MCU, could probably be merged with the Negative Zone).
He’s had a pretty good turn as a supporting character on Into the Badlands this season. Good enough for me to have mentioned to a friend that I regret that he wasn’t selected for Danny Rand.
I’ve not read the books, but I did watch the streaming version (rather than the broadcast version) of The Expanse, and thankfully there’s a fair amount of swearing in it (most notably from Avasarala and Amos).
I just want to say... Evan, it’s a joy to be reading your comic articles again.
Couldn’t agree more! This coming from someone for whom the original has always held a cherished place in my heart. The director’s cut completes the story, hews very closely to the source material in Cabal, and is just better told all-around.
The funny thing is, the wiki indicates that the same people who did Lost in La Mancha are presently editing a follow-up entitled He Dreamed of Giants, announced last month after its debut at Cannes.
Honestly, it makes more sense to just let Disney themselves tackle it with their upcoming streaming service next year.
