The boom operator no longer has a big window out back to directly view the receiver. Now he sits in a phone booth up front wearing 3D goggles and does everything by camera. That’s the biggest issue. However, there are lots of little missteps (trash and tools, basic layout for cargo) that also should have been fixed.
So let me get this straight. No leather to crack and wrinkle and be cold in the winter and hot in the summer and generally look like crap within the first 5000 miles, no sunroof to leak or creak, no stupid “rollin’ on dubs” with bent rims on every pothole, AND a manual, for $15K less? This is exactly what I did with my Traveler. When I cut the liftgate in half and installed the SII tailgate I just mounted the ball stud, measured the extended distance between the two mounts, and had my local parts shop look up in the book (remember when they had those?) a shock with the correct dimensions.
