agreed. as a diy-er/benz wagon owner, the only thing replaced on the car in 105k was a fuel-pump, 1 coil pack, and the lift-gate struts.  grand total of $500 in repairs.

I use the chain shops pretty regularly, but I always tell them to do just the oil change and skip the rest of their vehicle inspection list. Much faster that way as well.
