I really don’t understand that change. Since she’s being shown as the 1st female Cid it makes no sense to name her Cindy. Especially considering Cidney is an actual female name, regardless of spelling.

I like the idea of the new Fire Emblem having the ability to have a split origin, but seriously, the ‘asian’ path is the peace loving and youthful with a white aesthetic, while the ‘european’ is the war mongers lead by an old man and have the black aesthetic. Thats kind of horse-shit.
