I always thought these had more presence in person then in pictures

You don’t need a supercharger with the ‘Vette since it has almost 2 extra liters of displacement (4.4 vs 6.0). HP is close, XLR gets 14 more ponies, but the Chevy weighs 450lbs less. The magnetic ride is going to be a fortune to repair, no thanks. Also, lets not forget the MANUAL in the Corvette.

thing is you won’t find a c6 with supercharged engine and magnetic ride for this kind of money

Wait, these things were over $110k new?? Great googly moogly...in that same year Ford had the GT stickered at something like $150k. (And yes, I’m sure you had to fight dealer markup in some cases.)

I can’t remember having ever seen one of these in person; RWD V8 convertible hardtop, tranny in the back, and the style of Cadillac? I’m in.

Lotta miles, but it’s a V and it’s in good shape. NP.

Now playing

The V is the big distinguishing point so I’ll go NP, not that many of these floating around and lower mileage examples fetch over $30.

I got nothin other than to say I adore you Alanis, don’t ever change.

I cant imagine what it feels like to drive this hard, at least the front wheels will pull you along as it flexes and squirms under hard acceleration.

Sorry but I am and have been on the right sight, that’s my take on the sleeper, I find it stupid and I backed it up with a perfectly good metaphor. Sleepers are for hipster like people who want to bore you to death with explaining their sleeper mods instead of show up in you know something that looks the business and

I’m with you on that one. Only thing that could save this one is a price that could be considered “disposable.”

yeah, cool engine, terrible vehicle, beyond the “hey I’ve got a supercharged minivan” novelty this is a pointless thing to own, certainly you can find plenty of other GM sedans and coupes from the same era for this kind of scratch with the L67

Very few people put an intercooler on an L67 without also dropping a pulley size on the supercharger. I cant say how much power it makes, but with the intercooler you could buy a modular puller and crank up the boost a fair bit. That said, with a engine swap on vans that were a deathtrap and fell apart sitting still

Plus you then have a Honda and not a 20 yr old Chevy.

at first I was like sure why not, a supercharged minivan for $3,500, but then I saw the lack of mileage mentioned and remembered that the Honda Odyssey’s V-6 gets same HP/Torque w/o the need for forced induction and found plenty of early 2000's Odysseys for same kind of money and decided CP

Here are some stickers for the button blanks...

North Koreans are one step ahead and have no windows in their cities

Pretty much, less cancer exhaust and less littering the continent with nukes. this is more an ICBM with tiny wings and less spaceship-ness

Flying crowbar with less nuclear waste in the exhaust?

It really needs a set of longhorns on the hood
