This is great, but why propose it to be called anything with ‘Washington’ in it?? There are (and will be if the state will be called Washington, DC and the district will also be called Washington, DC) too many Washingtons already...unless they’re going to call it ‘East Washington’. Just name it Douglass and be done…

I think another issue is the fact that DC needs to be able to call in the national guard without the approval of people who are possibly conspiring with the reason the national guard is needed.

So, and I’m just spitballing here, but security clearances are no joke and DC’s marijuana laws still appear to be fairly draconian. Maybe there’s a risk that a staffer could be blackmailed over a routine, but still technically illegal, marijuana transaction or possession above the 2 oz. max?

They entered their Capitol building and engaged in acts of patriotism, hijinks, and kerfuffles with the security guards.

If it wasn’t an insurrection, then what was it? They were there to overthrow the government. They’re on video saying that.

They thought it was unfair that the bill praised the Capitol police without also praising the insurrectionists. Next on their agenda is ensuring that everyone who participated in the insurrection gets a statue, a medal, and a participation trophy.

Oh, not that stupid fuck again.  I hate his face.  I hate his personality.  I hate his politics.  If he ever had an original thought in his head, I’d hate that too.
