I respect his generosity and work ethic but he can be difficult to be around. My mother handles him shockingly well and his kids worship the ground she walks on for it.

I’ve seen it so many times I pretty much know it by heart. I watched it again recently after it being a long time since the last viewing but I still remembered all the jumps and scares. So this time I noticed how much those dudes’ testosterone and even a little class conflict got in the way of fighting the shark. It’s

My cute back story related to this post is how much Quint reminds me of my stepdad. I always thought it was his personality but I watched Jaws again recently and realized that even his voice and speech patterns are similar.

Ooh, now I need to rewatch!

Me, watching the S1 finale: “FORKING SHIRTBALLS!!!”

Thank you! Also, counting calories isn’t necessarily “obsessing” and just because I count them doesn’t mean I’m not also tracking macros.

Sounds better than the Charmed reboot.

Boy, that opening paragraph sure reminded me how awful being a teenager was. Stuff that shattered my world and brought me to my knees at 14 barely even registers now.

This. But if you really don’t want to check, I’ve noticed that passengers with soft sided duffel bags are less likely to be forced to gate check than hard-sided suitcases. I had to fly recently for an event and couldn’t take the chance of them losing my dress so I packed a duffel and it worked.

I always seem to have to choose between 45 minutes (too short) and 3 hours (come on!) I pick the latter because having to rush really stresses me out but come on!

Yes, this. I always take how fast I need to get off the plane into consideration when I pick my seat.

I have zero idea when people start developing various aspects of critical thinking,

I love my stainless steel sauce pan. It, my cast iron skillet, and my enameled Dutch oven are pretty much everything I need in the cookware department.

My experience: plan the shit out of a trip to make it as painless as possible just to have the flight get canceled or something. Any trip where I make it to where I’m going within an hour of when I was supposed to get there, and my stuff gets there, too, is a good trip.

I think it is an interesting thought exercise. For college students, not 10 year olds.

If people are buying food/drinks/etc. RSVP either way and stick to it (unless you really can’t.) It’s how they know how much they need to buy.

The only good news is that by the end of the series they were both garbage and deserved each other. I found it funny all the way through, but gradually liked them all less and less. On my last rewatch I noted the exact moment Monica went from adorably quirky to neurotic AF. (It was when she told Rachel to move out and

I have a few different bands that just make it a little less ugly. :)

It bugs me that they never talked about that. They seemed to think it boiled down to whether or not he cheated and never addressed “she moved from serving him and his family/friends coffee to doing what she wanted and this bothered him a LOT.”

I love my Blaze and anyone who asks about it gets to hear that. I didn’t realize it was considered a failure. Other than my smartphone, it’s probably the most useful tech gadget I’ve ever had.
