Although reading between the lines it sure sounds like either: Fakku made up the legal issue coming or got the legal ball rolling against HH in the first place. As Fakku’s founder said HH was their prime competition, now he has that valuable highly trafficked URL for absolutely free.

One crucial thing people forget about this whole thing is that in truth outset island isn’t a coastal village. Like all villages in TWW It’s a mountaintop village. Remember that Hyrule was flooded during TWW, and people fled to the mountaintops. Hyrule isn’t in flooded in BOTW - the landscape is far too varied for it

Yeah, fully agree. I can see the comparisons, but thats probably because both are seaside villages. I guess they might have used it a bit as an inspiration? But saying that “a village from WW is in BotW” is stretching it a bit. But it worked, we all clicked the vid i guess.

i guess you’re right. as long as you disregard everything about it, it totally does fit

Honestly, I just don’t see it. The whole thing feels more like a confirmation bias driven hot take than an actual observation.

There are WAAAAAAAAAAY too many differences when compared to the similarities to make it feel like an actual reproduction of Outset Island.

Do you have any proposal for a replacement? We need something to describe the genre, and while “metroidvania” might not be an accessible word, it’s at least a functional one. “Exploration adventure” maybe? That’s unfortunately close to the so-generic-it’s-useless “action-adventure” genre, but it’s the best I can come

Wait til you hear about how it’s a fantasy world... based on a popular video-game!

I guess 'different strokes' and all that, because my response to that comic was "Corpse Run, tell me a better joke".

I hope I don’t have to send my son to a farm upstate. Look at that smile. May be the last time we see it

Pikachu and the entirety of Gen I.

They said every Pokemon from Let’s Go will be in it so the Genwunners needn't lose any sleep.

> But don’t attack, harass or insult the people making this game.

I wouldn’t recommend reading Heinlein’s Number of the Beast to just anyone, but there’s a chance you’ll dig it. It goes a bit off the rails at some point but the entire story is based on the idea of a vessel that can travel the 6 axes of existence: X, Y, Z, T, Tao, and Te. Iirc, Tao, the 5th dimension, is where

Probably not anymore. Oceans are becoming too warm, and breeding god knows what kind of bacterial danger as a result of it.

had a skin swap” There ya go, don’t have a skin swap before you go swimming.

The game so nice they’re releasing it thrice!

I dunno, he’s kind of glossing over at least a few standalone lessons on architecture, scale, depth and perspective, etc. that I’d say are absolutely essential to successfully pulling this off as an inexperienced artist.

Reminds me somewhat of this one here. ;-)

I would love to list all the reasons why this reviewer is out of his mind, but it really just comes down to personal taste. "Flowers of Evil" is unlike 99% of other anime, and that alone isn't enough to make it watchable. If you want an anime that's a challenging endurance test of slow burn psychological torture, this
