'4' movies?? Those aren't movies, that's a mini-series I have to pay over $40 to watch one time. No thanks.

Happens to the best of us. I just can't stand pretentiousness. No one's taste is any better than someone else's. If you don't like it, then don't watch it. If it becomes an ongoing issue for you (as in movies that are beneath you keep being made), either move to LA & try to change it from the inside a la Christopher…
No, I think we should just back off. This man is obviously worlds ahead of us in terms of personal taste, which is why he's commenting on io9.com & not producing 3 Oscar-winning productions a year...
"Finally, a reasonable response to my rant."
....Magua. Sorry but LOL...
Could have a submarine escort. That'd be one helluva surprise for the pirates, wouldn't it?
WHY IS THERE SO MUCH DUST IN MY EYES RIGHT NOW???
+1. Any and all Archer references will never not be funny...
"...what? Yeah, that's right. I did it. So what? Penalty shot, let's get to it."
I agree, except that I don't think 20th Century Fox would've produced it themselves. Probably would've passed it to Fox Searchlight Pictures, who handle the independent releases (granted, they usually handle US distribution of foreign releases, but they have done US films such as Thirteen, Garden State, and I Heart…
I agree with what he said re: Alien not being made today. Especially considering the crew they had: Ridley Scott had only made one movie before that (The Duellists), writers Dan O'Bannon & Ronald Shusett only had 3 movies-worth of experience combined, and the majority of the cast wasn't exactly A-list at the time…
he was moving the pile
*gives high-five*
Yes, I know. It's a joke, calm down.
Irony: When a group of people living on land stolen from Native Americans protests a team with a Native American slur for a name...
You are correct about the visors cutting faces. Ironically enough, Martin Havlat got his upper lip almost cut off his face from getting checked into a ref from Chimera himself just last week...
Yes & no. As Bruce Campbell said in the commentary for EDII: "It is sort of a sequel, in that Ash is the only person dumb enough to actually go back to that cabin after the first movie."
(I know I'm a year late on this, but I'm here from the 2014 article on "A Man in the Dark"...kinda feel like I'm from the future, actually. Hahaha)
actually a vacuum cleaner in disguise, insert sad trombone noise here
Because 1.2 billion people listen to the pope, and he's got a better chance of convincing those 1.2 billion people to change their minds than you do with your condescending speech.
