Mrs. Shoe Pilot and I are thinking about learning. Any pilots on Oppo?
The GE Wattstation 240V EVSE that we had to charge Mrs. Shoe Pilot’s car decided to go non-linear last weekend. The device was indicating a ground fault, but there was no ground fault. I guess the circuit in the equipment that detects faults went kaput, which is just fantastic.
I made some “Trump Likes Nickelback” stickers at work last week. I was driving home from work today and I had a few stickers in the car with me. I was stopped in traffic and saw a car come up behind me. I saw the driver squint to look at my sticker, then smile real big, then grab her camera to take a picture.
They came out pretty good.
It’s a rack for holding rolls of printed vinyl as they feed into a laminating machine. The machine has a way to do this on its own, but we use that feed position for a kraft paper backing. Also, loading the workpiece from the included roll is a total PITA. The manufacturer makes a machine that has this built in, but…
Nobody wants to smell fucking buffalo wings in the confined space of an airplane. ESPECIALLY at 9 am.
I tried 3 different browsers (Safari, Chrome, Firefox) and all of them fail in unique ways. Anyone had any luck? I’m going to give it a whirl on a windows box at work tomorrow.
If you need (or “need”) a little motorcycle to tool around on, I’m selling my Grom. I left COTA at the end of last year and my new job is on a much smaller chunk of land so I don’t need a bike to get around just to do my job.
FP1 ended live a few minutes ago, and I went and watched a couple X games clips and then came back and told it I wanted to watch FP1 and it started from the beginning!
I’ve seen the before/after pictures but I’ve always been a little skeptical. I’m not a skeptic any longer. It works just as well as it says it does on the box.
The Honda wagon has gone to Killeen to live with a new owner! I’ve got a Honda Element to go look at this weekend.
I commented on a splinter article about guns. From the comments I got in response, I get the feeling there are people (?) over there that don’t like me very much and would rather that I die a painful death, and right soon.
The guy who was supposed to come install the new front door today was battling food poisoning, so Mrs. Shoe Pilot and I had a weekday to go do something. We decided to go to the Blue Bell factory in Brenham, Texas. Blue Bell is the best store bought ice cream on planet earth (If you believe otherwise, you’re wrong.…
Assuming the weather holds at mildly misty and doesn’t turn into a full on thunderstorm, I’m meeting some of my new co-workers to do a little day-after-Christmas blasting. One of the guys has never shot an “assault weapon” so I’m bringing a selection of my finest guns that are painted black. We’ll start him off with…
Today was my last day at COTA. I was going to stay on through the end of the year but the offices are closed next week so today was the end instead. My 5 year anniversary was Wednesday, so I did get my little glass plaque.
I’ve got an opportunity for ONE person that’s pretty cool. It requires that you be 21 (sorry kids!), speak English (if you’re reading this, we’re probably ok) and your availability on Sept 14-16. I’m being purposely super vague but the astute among you may be able to put pieces together.
If it’s playing where you live, go see it. Maybe watch the trailer, but don’t read anything about the story. I went in completely blind to what the story was about and thoroughly enjoyed the revelation. Kyle Mooney wrote a great story and the flick is really well executed.
The recently-traded Veloster is now owned by a kid who works at the Discount Tire nearest my house. He bought it from the dealership where I bought my car, it never went to auction.
