Eff the gentle animals
Dude forgot the otters.

Speaking of which, Sean, as this IS on youtube, you have no excuse—certailnly helped wipe that Elton John from my mind.

She's great in Freaks and Geeks, too…pops up here and there and then at the end as Segal's disco girlfriend.

So what you're saying is that this movie has been tainted by alleged digital fraud…

Sorry, should say: "to her maybe having hit a kid."

I'm glad this was brought up
I too thought it was a dog when I watched it originally, and was mystified by all the references, including on the Netflix mailer, to her maybe having hit a dog. I agree with everyone that the two bumps are too far apart (which vaguely confused me while I was watching it, but I ended up

Ok, before someone calls me lazy I went and looked it up. Planned, one take. Pretty bad-ass.

Great Interview…
…but I was really hoping for a question about the pizza throw. Planned? First take? CGI?

Dear Genius—
Your argument merely reiterates the point I made in A) and B) and states the obvious the rest of us are taking as a given. I felt Mandaliet had already covered C) suffiently enough for ME not to have to reiterate it thoroughly. What you are sputtering with that first sentence was clear enough to me early

The end of Adaptation was a total disappointment, and here's why—because they pulled their punches. I remember thinking something like, are they serious? This is just mundane, which is lame to sit through. Why didn't they just take it further? And there is actually an answer: there was gonna be a swamp monster and

To be clear, the two movies Zarnak mentions I recognize as being a matter of my tastes just not being simpatico. Sleeping Dogs Lie, however, is beyond the pale.

Considering everything AV Club has managed to convinve me is actually worth my time (Ninth Configuration, Gremlins 2, Sleeping Dogs Lie) has turned out to be so inept and/or drab it turned out to be the rare thing I couldn't even finish (that doesn't even do justice to how extremely bad and amateurish the latter

My feeling is, it's Daniel Clowes without the honesty of open contempt.

Everything you said in this review
was what I said in my review of Napoleon Dynamite, right down to the only thing worth watching was the credits. That said, the trailer for this makes it look pretty good.
How do two people say to each other, "You know what would be funny? [Vomit/ snake shit/ etc]."

Avid—
No, not really. It's the only Uffie I know (or, at least, didn't glaze over after previewing the first few seconds), and I think the Justice disc is a really fun record. I guess they sound like Daft Punk, but they never grabbed me, and this did (I guess Kesha fans would say the same).
Raging Bear—yes, yes, 1000

I had never heard of this person until now, but isn't that song awfully familar to Uffie's Justice track (http://www.youtube.com/watc… The Kesha song made me embarrased to like this one somehow.
And yes, she looks profoundly uncomfortable/ under-rehearsed.

The style of those snotty vocals are pretty recent vintage, fortunately.

In my book, Malcom and Imperial are just two different kinds of brilliant—and Perfect Teeth did not add much more to the discussion than Imperial already had…but I came in on Imperial and worked backwards…
