I love the steel guitar (especially the pedal steel) and am sad it's used in such terrible music.

Morocco is totally underrated, because people have no expectations for Moroccan food. It was probably my favorite place to eat last time I was there. Oh, the bastilla…
It is phenomenal.
Holy crap, I want to shop where you shop. The place I shop at has modern country music, which is making me want to switch to online ordering.
Not this one!
I'm close to the end of Bunny Crumpacker's The Sex Life Of Food. It's fairly interesting, about how food and sex and sexual development are intrinsically linked, but sometimes it feels like Crumpacker has a hammer and everything looks like it wants to get nailed — she tries too hard, I feel, to make the connection in…

I just reread Scott Pilgrim in glorious colo(ur). I liked the first three better than the last three — the first, I think, is a complete classic. The comic series had the best ending out of all of the various iterations, I think, but I haven't beaten the video game with all of the characters.
That second response to QueenAndrea is really sweet, and the kind of thing we all need to be told in this troubling times. He may not be the author we deserve right now, etc.
Surprised… or "Sad!"?
I mentioned over in the What Are You Reading thread that I'm rereading Scott Pilgrim, this time in color. I'm picking up on more of the hints he threw in that Scott was a jerk to Kim, and I think i'm catching more of his references too. I still think Cera was miscast in the movie, even if the rest of the cast was…
The Sessions album, so technically yes.
Don't feel you have to stick with your first choice of therapist. If the one you have is an asshole, you haven't signed any contracts saying you have to work with them.
I complain about politics to my therp all the time. It helps me get the feelings out, and she does recommend donating and volunteering as possible,…
I'm sick at home, and for comfort food, I'm about to go make a simple marinara sauce: fry a head's worth of peeled garlic cloves in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil; when they blister, add a can of tomato puree (or, y'know, pureed tomatoes), salt, and pepper, and let cook on low while you put up the water for…
I finished City Of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett, which starts off as a murder mystery in a land where the gods have been killed (that's not the mystery), but twists and turns into a conspiracy… I hesitate to say "thriller" 'cause it kinda drags in the middle, but the ending is pretty fast-paced.
I'm rereading the Sc…
I liked* one image macro that was the PEOTUS saying "I'm gonna create so many jobs that Americans are gonna have two or three jobs each!"
I have dysthymia, which is pretty much what you describe, and am on meds for it. I'm not outright recommending meds (it takes a while for them to start, they don't always work the same for everyone, and side effects can be weird). However, I do recommend finding someone to talk to — a therapist is best, if your…
Awesome Games Done Quick is running right now, and it gives me a little bit of hope for humanity, raising nearly $500k as of this post to fight cancer.

Bruce Springsteen, Dancin' In The Dark. It's actually a really sad song if you look at the lyrics.
